Kita (2069) - Koper, - JAN 31, 2013
Bottled, 0.33l. Clear amber color with small quickly dissipating tan-like head and soft visible carbonation. Aroma of grassy hops, caramel malt, fresh and dry fruits. Taste starts rich malty with moderate sweetness. Following is fresh with taste of hay, mouthfeel is quite spicy, while aftertaste is moderate bitter, although well hiden behind rich and spicy maltiness. Medium to full body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Bottle minimalism vs. rich and pleasant taste...

330ml bottle (Captain Corvus, Helsinki)
Caramelly amber colour, way reddier than the RB photo, and a large spongy head, but its in a clear glass bottle, which says they dont care about UV rotting their beers, so an automatic -1 on the look. Aroma is very sweet, a bit papery and stale. Medium watery palate, sweetish slickness, but a pleasant level of carbonation. Taste is papery, stale, dead, oxidised, sweet, and dull. Some fruitiness to the sweetness, but thats oxidised. Finish has a biting bitterness, a touch metallic, but it cant bring interest to an otherwise dull sweet beer. This beer would feature on my list of Franconian recommendations, however that would be the recommended list of beers to avoid.

Couleur cuivre, forte ptillance, mousse qui disparait . Nez de malt toast et lger caramel. Gout assez leger et sec de malt, caramel et houblon frais avec corps aqueux et fin rapide. Pas mauvaise mais un peu trop lgre.
