I can’t remember ever seeing a impy stout with a clear liquid. It is is quite drinkable but to call this an imperial stout is an insult to other _real_ impy stouts.
Bottle. Brown colour with a beige head. Aroma of sweet malt, tar and fruit. Sweetness, tar, fruit. medicin, alcohol, light roastiness and some oak in the flavor. Rather light bodied for an Imp Stout. larsniclas (7297) - Billdal, SWEDEN - DEC 25, 2010

Bottle from Systembolaget. Aroma hints of smoked sausage and wood. It pours pitch black with a nice thick foam. Taste is very sweet, and it tastes of.. well.. sausage, not great at all. This was a nice attempt at making an imperial stout, but it didn’t turn out all that great. gnoff (11145) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 16, 2010

Very deep rubyish brown colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is rather smoked peat malty along with some strong liquorice, mild vanilla and some slight tarry notes. Flavour is peated, liquoricy, a bit spices as well as a bit vanillaish notes. Also has some slight annoying strange sweetish notes, otherwise nice.
Bottle @ SBWF ’10. Pours dark dark brown with a small head. The aroma contain foremost smoke, peat and whiskey, Also some vanilla and bacon. More of the same in the rich taste but with more of a roasted malty character to it. Also a very subtle acidity. A bit too much on the peaty side in my book.
