baggio (338) - norrtälje, SWEDEN - DEC 25, 2010
[email protected] Apperance: Dark brown/red with a wee brown head. Aroma: Tar, Wood, Roasted malts, Dark caramel. Taste: Smoke, Wood, Roasted malts, Dark caramel, Hint of salt and some licorice. Palate: Very thing liquid with low carbonation. Hides the alcohol well. I can’t remember ever seeing a impy stout with a clear liquid. It is is quite drinkable but to call this an imperial stout is an insult to other _real_ impy stouts.

This beer seems to be brewed in the honour of the t-sprits drinking supporters of Bajen football club.

finol (3525) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 23, 2010

Koyo (250) - SWEDEN - DEC 18, 2010
Bottle from Systembolaget. Aroma hints of smoked sausage and wood. It pours pitch black with a nice thick foam. Taste is very sweet, and it tastes of.. well.. sausage, not great at all. This was a nice attempt at making an imperial stout, but it didn’t turn out all that great.

oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - NOV 25, 2010
[email protected] Very deep rubyish brown colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is rather smoked peat malty along with some strong liquorice, mild vanilla and some slight tarry notes. Flavour is peated, liquoricy, a bit spices as well as a bit vanillaish notes. Also has some slight annoying strange sweetish notes, otherwise nice.

Neeskens (328) - SWEDEN - NOV 18, 2010
Bottle @ SBWF ’10. Pours dark dark brown with a small head. The aroma contain foremost smoke, peat and whiskey, Also some vanilla and bacon. More of the same in the rich taste but with more of a roasted malty character to it. Also a very subtle acidity. A bit too much on the peaty side in my book.
