330 ml bottle. Bottle is a year old. Dark brown colour. Cloudy. Small off-white head. Sour and funky aromas. Vermouth and other odd weird flavours. Thick and clumpy appearance. There is clearly something wrong with this beer. Feels complex and way off at the same time.

A fresh strong Barley Wine that has very rich taste and will not make anyone dissappointed

Riktigt fin.

courtesy of Per - pours a cloudy brown beer with a solid long lasting and creamy beige foam; bready with notes of almonds and marzipan; full-bodied, tasty and creamy palate; quite thick; pretty sweet and slightly bitter; very long almondy, creamy aftertaste with notes of chestnuts - very good

Bottled from Systembolaget dec-11 Amber with a bubbly head. Some hair-salon in the aroma. Mashy notes in the flavour. Medmium dry bitterness. Too alcoholic.

Benzai (16151) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - AUG 22, 2012
Sampled from bottle. Hazy reddish color, small beige head. Smell malts, sweetness, a bit of sugar. Taste malts, some sweetness, slightly alcohol, some fruits like pear and something else I just can’t figure out what it is. Medium carbo, medium body.

Dark amber color; medium sized creamy head. Very mild malt and caramel aroma, maybe with a hint of vegetables. Medium body strength (good, but different from what expected from a Barley Wine, more like an English Strong Ale); the mouthfeel is soft and quite round; there is caramel flavor, malt, brown sugar, very moderate sweetness, a touch of vegetables, and a bitterness that is just a bit stronger than the average English beer. Simplistic.

Melker (264) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 16, 2012
UPDATED: NOV 21, 2012 2011 vintage. Same as last year. Beautiful deep copper, slightly hazy. Big foamy bone white head. Aroma is brown sugar, malt, caramel, port wine. Much better than last year. Taste is sweet, malty, vinious but there’s too much alcohol in the taste and there’s also something in there that reminds me about tobacco which i don’t like.

nazzty (1378) - Ödåkra - Helsingborg, SWEDEN - MAY 30, 2012
Very sweet and mellow. Clear flavors of Christmas, quite spicy beer with a relatively high alcoholic strength. Best suited to rather severe food.
