blafa (511) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 8, 2011
Bottle from systembolaget, at home. Helsingborg, December 2011.
Pours light golden with a creamy head. Aromas of oranges, mandarins, dried apricots, grainy malts and alcoholic sugar. Warming and quite nice. The body is quite full with more sweet malty tastes, some dried fruits together with a graininess. Surprisingly enough there is actually quite the hop action going on here as well. Interesting brew!

ekstedt (6775) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 3, 2011
Bottle (33 cl) from Systembolaget. Clear deep amber, medium white head. Nutty and bisquity malt aroma with strong notes of floral hops (EKG?). Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Semi dry, high bitterness. More like a british DIPA than barley wine.

Mad_Ferret (1017) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 2, 2011
Bottle. Dark reddish amber with a nice head. Lots of fruity american hops on the nose with lots of sugary caramel and some minty peppery notes with a bit of alcohol sting. Nice. Taste is straight up the american barley wine alley with tropical fruit, sugary toffee and also here some peppery mint and a dash of alcohol. Bigger body with soft carbonation. One of the better from Jessica.

Ungstrup (37587) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - DEC 1, 2011
Bottled. A red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, hops, spices, and bread, as well as a bit of alcohol, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.
