Bottle (33 cl) from Systembolaget. Clear deep amber, medium white head. Nutty and bisquity malt aroma with strong notes of floral hops (EKG?). Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Semi dry, high bitterness. More like a british DIPA than barley wine. KnutAlbert (6754) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 22, 2013
Bottle, still available from Systembolaget.se. Clear brown. Smoke, burned sugar, malt, spices. Nice.

UPDATED: DEC 4, 2011 Bottle from Systembolaget. A relatively light barley wine that is fairly easy to drink. Allot of sweet malty aromas with some flowery hops and a present yet mellow bitterness. Mad_Ferret (1015) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 2, 2011
Dark reddish amber with a nice head.
Lots of fruity american hops on the nose with lots of sugary caramel and some minty peppery notes with a bit of alcohol sting. Nice.
Taste is straight up the american barley wine alley with tropical fruit, sugary toffee and also here some peppery mint and a dash of alcohol.
Bigger body with soft carbonation.

BB 2013-11-29, X-mas 2011 version
Hazy copper color, small tan head. Sweet, malty, grainy scent, some alcohol. Sweet, toffee, grainy taste. Fresh aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.
Pretty nice and malty. Mom liked it too, bro didn’t.
Draught. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Dark amber colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter vinius flavor. Long moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate. Kestral (506) - Årnes, NORWAY - MAR 22, 2012
Bottle. Dark ruby brown with a small tan ring. Aroma of toffe, loads of toffee. Some plums, some nuttiness, quite a bit of hops in this one. A little alcohol. A little vinous, some bubblegum esteriness. Pretty damn solid. Loads of burnt sugar and caramel on the tongue, with a solid hop bite in the finish. Well balanced for a barley wine, and since it’s a lighter take on the style compared to the 10+% monsters, it’s actually quite drinkable. Medium bodied, not too heavy. All in all I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Crisp (lol wat), clean but perhaps it lacks a bit in the wow-department.
