ElDesmadre (3627) - Mikołów, POLAND - FEB 16, 2012
Bottle. Amber with a small head. Aroma is American hops - citrus, apricot, some less grapefruit and even less pine. Some bready malt, raisins, toffee and apples. Not bad but a bit tame - the composition is balanced but somehow restrained. Medium carbonation, rather light body. Disappointingly hollow in terms of flavour, it is fruity-hoppy and malty but makes again a tame, restrained impression. As if all the edges have been cut off, by which the beer became quite polished but devoid of character. I’d say, a politically-correct IPA, and that means boring.

Cunningham (7969) - Halden, NORWAY - FEB 9, 2012
Bottle from Systembolaget in Strømstad, Sweden. Orange colour with a small white head. Lots of grape in the aroma, toghether with some fruitiness. Very moderate flavour, with some hoppy grape and light fruitiness.

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2012 Ölen är trevligt humlad och det märks på aromen, beskan är juste men den blir lite för skarp emellanåt. Det här är en hyfsad öl och den hade varit mycket bättre om den hade haft en stadigare kropp. Slutsats: god men tam.

Countbeer (6592) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - JAN 19, 2012
Bottle: Thanks to VsXsV. Ok this must be the fullest bottle of beer I have ever seen, the bottle was filled for 99%. Pours a clear darker orange to amber colored beer with a one finger off white head that changes quick into a small and half open lacing. Smell hops, light citrus, softer fruits like peach, banana and some pine, malts and grains. Taste hops, light citrus, banana, grass, tea, medium bitter, some herbs, malts and soap. Light hoppy and hop flower aftertaste. Low carbo, soft mouthfeel, closer to a medium body than a low body and a texture between watery and creamy. Seems to lack a bit of a body and the maltyness is more pressent than other ipa’s still it’s not bad and even pretty tasty.

This is quite nice but a bit light for a IPA in my taste. nice hops but boringly balanced

Fruktig och örtig. Anar lite päron och grapefrukt. Bra kropp och lång fin beska. En god IPA helt enkelt.

Flaske 0,33l fra Systembolaget i Kiruna. Delt med Rune under sammenkomst i Skibotn 17 Sep 11. Gyldenbrun. OK luftig skum. Pent. God fruktig aroma & smak. Aprikos & plommer. Forsiktig bitter ettersmak. En god IPA i engelsk stil. Langvarig spearmint-ettersmak.

Kestral (506) - Årnes, NORWAY - DEC 3, 2011
Bottle. Pours a clear orange with amber tinge with a thin ring of white bubbles. Aroma is predominantly fruity. Citrus, apricots, peach.. Not a massive aroma though, pretty mellow. Kind of skunky. The taste is pretty mellow too. Pretty sweet, with a surprisingly moderate bitterness. Caramel sweetness, slight fruity bitterness. Carbonation is very mellow, nearly flat. Light bodied. This is underwhelming in every sense. I like my IPAs drier, livelier, more flavourful.. Disappointed. The bottle looked cool atleast.

MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - DEC 3, 2011
Bottle, 5.3%. Mild grassy hop aroma. Clear orange colour. Big stable white head. The flavour starts off rather bitter, turns caramelly and piney. Also some fruit notes, the subtle ones, mango and peach perhaps. Not so complex but clean and good.

330 ml bottle gifted by friend and consumed on November 12. Pours deep golden with a small white head that leaves some trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is floral with freshly cut grass, lemon zest, sourdough and some caramel. Taste is malty, rather dry and slightly bitter. A taste of bread and yeast dominates the taste but there’s also some hoppy citrus with orange zest. Finish is subtle and rather dry.
