Deep amber colour with a mediumsized beige creamy head. Aroma is huge smoky wet wooden notes along with some sweet and bready malts, mild grainyness as well as some toasted notes. Flavour is bigtime smoked wet wooden along with bready malts and some slight freshly cut wood. Having Schlenkerla Märzen next to this one, and both were kind of as "smoked", but this was a softer smoke, where as the Schenkerla is a really thick tarry smoke. This still kicks serious ass, and I actually liked the smokyness in this one quite a bunch.
Bottle sample at a tasting in our place. Thanks DSG. Pours cloudy amber with beige film. Aroma: chipotle, wood, smoked sausage, a little peppery. Tastes spicy and sweet-ish. Long hot pepper and wood finish, medium body.

Bottle sample at a tasting in our place. Thanks DSG. Pours red to orange with a medium head, aroma of smoke, chimney, salty tones, laphroaig, flavor is smoked with peat, hash, wood, salty tones, pleasant sweetness, medium bodied, great NordicV (2459) - Malmö, Sweden, SWEDEN - SEP 2, 2011

Dark amber color; the medium sized head reduces quickly to a small layer. Very nice, subtle, smoke aroma. The mouthfeel is quite dry, there is good caramel flavor and good smoke, with correct bitterness.jolo (1003) - Uppsala, Sweden, SOUTH AFRICA - SEP 5, 2011
A very fine beer, it has strong smoke presence, and great balance; not heavy as the Schlenkerla ones, but it also goes well with food.
Bottle 330ml. A clear red-amber colour with an shortlasting, good lacing, beige head. An aroma of smoked and burned malt and caramel. The taste sweet. A medium body, oily texture, average carbonation and a long finish. A well-balanced rauchbier Nisse666 (7780) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 7, 2011

AR: smokey wet birch logg - say no more
AP: amber/mahogny colored body, 2-3 cm high frothy/stouthy cream beige/ yellowish head
F: smokey wet birch logg - nice flavour but a bit thin body, some caramel, bitternes +, I’m sick but actually this was one was better then many other S:t Eriks’s that have reached the market latley - and there have been a few :-( omhper (25546) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - SEP 10, 2011
Bottled. Clear nut brown, mid sized head. Smoky nose with juniper and beechwood. Malt sweetness combine with peat to a whisky liqueur flavour. Medium bodied with clean, rounded mouthfeel. The juniper smoke brings a Gotlandsdricke flavour, but where Gotlandsdricke is soft and rustic this is clean and elegant. Garlic_of_Doom (653) - SWEDEN - JUN 1, 2012
Bottle from Systembolaget.
Pours light amber with a 2 finger white head that quickly dissolves.
Has passed best before date with a couple of months, hoppiness might me a bit smaller than last time.
Smells mostly smoke.
Taste is a little hoppy, more malty than hoppy and of course a lot of smoke. There is a lot of smoke but it’s quite "light" and doesn’t take over the other tastes. Light-Medium body. Long smoky aftertaste.
Paired well with salty food.
