330ml Bottle - Dark copper with some red tinges and a foamy head. Roasted malt, nuts, dried fruit, rye bread and coffee in the aroma. The taste is roasted with notes of chestnuts, dried fruit, caramel, coffee and roasted malt. A pleasant surprise as I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as this.

OleR (4849) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 26, 2011
Bottle, purchased @Systembolaget, Charlottenberg. A low tanned cream-ish head, over a well carbonated, clear reddish-brown body. Rustic hop aroma up front; Earthy, peppery and berry-fruity. Notes of cocoa and well roasted malts. Taste is pleasingly bitter, backed by a medium strong, cocoa-accented malt body. A nice fruitiness underneath. Medium full. Roast and distinct bitterness throughout. A pretty good and potent dark lager.

33 cl bottle from Systembolaget. Dark brown, clear liquid with medium tan head. Aroma is lightly hoppy and malty with notes of grapefruit, citrus, roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and toffee. Taste is light sweet with medium bitterness and quite a lot of hops. Medium bodied with nice carbonation. Overall, nice beer where the hoppyness and the malt really works together. A bit like a light Black IPA.
