St. Feuillen’s centuries old brewing traditions combine with Green Flash Brewing Company’s cutting edge brewing techniques to form our first collaborative brew: Bière De L’Amitié (Friendship Brew). A blond Belgian collaboration ale, brewed with St. Feuillen’s traditional yeast and spices. For a modern twist, we add rye malt, wheat malt, and American Amarillo hops. At the crossroads of collaboration, we dry-hopped the brew for more zest. It’s old-world Belgian Abbey-style meets new-world American craft brewing - and a friendship is formed.

750 mL bottle poured into an oversized wine glass. Pours a hazy golden color with a two inch white head and nice lacing. Aroma is Belgian yeast, bready malt, and some hops. Taste is sweet and malty with some fruitiness and citrusy hop flavor. Very good.

TURDFERGUSON (4068) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JAN 28, 2013
Bottle from CBC. BB 06/06/14. Poured into an Achel Trappist goblet, bright orange color with a well carbonated crackly white sudsy head, light webby lace left on the sides of glass. Nose is spices and citrus, nutmeg, anise, light lavender and more herbal notes along with fresh pulpy orange juice, lemon, light pineapple, tropical fruits and coconut milk. Flavor is lemony and citrusy upfront, super juicy and easy to drink. Spice is a bit more retrained in the flavor but more tropical fruits are noted, especially this creamy coconut note that keeps coming back to me and fits nicely in balance with the rest of the flavors. Relatively dry, light spice and rye in the finish. Alcohol barely noted. Very impressed by this one. Thanks to Evan from bottle shop for the recommendation. Get it while its fresh!

750 ml bottle from Northgate Liquors Blaine 30% to 50% sale this one was 50% off! Pours hazy gold amber with a foamy white head that dissipates to a foamy film and little lacing. Aroma is musty candied sugar yeast and dulled citrus hops. Taste is bitter hops yeast semi sweet candied sugar and lemon peel little dusty and musty, but still rather tasty. Palate is medium with a dusty chalky dry finish. Well worth 6 bucks!

Bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a cloudy golden color with a big bubbly white head. The aroma has yeast, spritzy citrus, grass and some herbal hops. The flavor had a big amarillo hop bite up front, yeast, wheat grass, citrus, light spicy notes with a dry finish. This does carry some heat.

December 15, 2012 on tap at busters. Cloudy yellow pour with head and lacing. Got some floral and grassy notes in aroma. Taste was consistent with a mild bitter finish.

Caytinator (1005) - Waco, Texas, USA - DEC 14, 2012
Pint on tap. Really really good. Bright sunshine color, cloudy, laces well, little head, bubbly. Aroma is citrus, peaches, nectarines. Taste is more sweet and citrus, with floral notes and herbs. Medium-light body. What a good blend of American and Belgian tradition.

crazyvin (2026) - New York, USA - DEC 8, 2012
A nice black color with a nice brown head that faded away to a thin coating, some mild lace. Aroma had a nice mix of malts, hops yeast and spices.. A mix of rye and black pepper seemed dominate the aroma. Some mild floral hops and some yeast. Flavor seemed to have more balanced between peppery notes from the rye and the floral notes from hops and yeast. Finish was smooth and carbonation was adequate.

NikkTwist (3403) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 7, 2012
Draft at Farmers Cabinet. Opaque pour with an off-white head. Slight smoke. Vegemite. Rotted vegetables. Feels very Scottish. Had this once before but don’t recall it being so dark. Challenging but good.
