COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St. Feuillen’s centuries old brewing traditions combine with Green Flash Brewing Company’s cutting edge brewing techniques to form our first collaborative brew: Bière De L’Amitié (Friendship Brew). A blond Belgian collaboration ale, brewed with St. Feuillen’s traditional yeast and spices. For a modern twist, we add rye malt, wheat malt, and American Amarillo hops. At the crossroads of collaboration, we dry-hopped the brew for more zest. It’s old-world Belgian Abbey-style meets new-world American craft brewing - and a friendship is formed.

Bottle pours gold with a white head. Aroma is sweet and grainy with hints of stone fruit, citrus, and yeast. Flavor shows the same with additional notes of bread, lemon, orange, and peach. Overall body is moderate, finish is dry and lightly bitter. Very pleasant and easy drinking. Never would guess the ABV.

On tap; pour is murky gold with an average white head in this tulip, more the barkeeps fault, really. Retention is modest, lacing is nice and sticky. Nice Belgian nose that you would really expect, a distinct farmhouse character, spice and citrus, but the american addition of the hop profile fuses well. The flavor profile is quite similar, but I notice that the middle of this brew is a little muted. I think it falls slightly flat, but regardless, I really enjoy the fusion of styles here. I liked what stone has done with their american/Belgian hybrids but the difference here is that it is Belgian first, american second or secondary. The hop presence isn’t too heavy and therefore not too bitter. This is a nice brew, but watch out, the abv will get you.

Point the cork away from anything you care about. Not a gusher, just a forceful pop. Pours cloudy yellow with a big white head, good retention and good lace. Smells yeasty with some banana and bubblegum. Tastes about the same. Sweet and yeasty with some fruit and cereal malts. Medium body, lightly coating, fizzyish carbonation.

750ml bottle $13. Nice orange color, decent head and a hoppy aroma. Citrus wafts up as well as a distinct spiciness. The flavor was more hops, citrus, and spices and well done I might say. I could not help but think this was distinctly influenced by Green Flash as it reminded me a bot of their tripel and le freak. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 09-12-2010 00:41:55

Bottle from halls liquors. Plus a closure yellow with a medium white head. The aromas are banana, lemon zest, clove. The mouthfeel is dry and zesty with a medium body with lots of carbonation. Cheers!

Opaque pale yellow pour with a thin white head. Big floral aroma with funky yeast notes. Dry spicy and floral flavor. Some citrus. A bit funky and chalky.

On tap at O’Brien’s in San Diego. Hazy golden yellow with effervescent head. All the proper things a Belgian/Saison should be. Iam actually suprised to see it listed as a Belgian strong. Lots of lovely light spiciness, high citrus, and hay. Bright clean finish, with citrus/lemon and almost a white pepper effect. Lovely.

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2013 Let the beer warm up gentlemen. Wow! Killer aroma. Aroma and flavor really bloom as it warms. Very elegant. Flowery perfume with spicy hops. Golden Champagne like. Amazing. Really pleases the Siason hophead in me. Marriage made in heaven. I hope they do more beers together. Strong flavors and aromas from both brewers. Radical!
