COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This brown ale has a marked ruby brown colour with a generous and lasting head. It has a distinctive aroma reflecting the wide range of ingredients used in its production. The fruitiness resulting from its fermentation blends harmoniously with a dominant liquorice and caramel flavour. The body is decidedly malty. The bitterness is the result of a complex alchemy between the fine hops and special malts used. These give St Feuillien Brune a typical dark chocolate appearance.

Pours a slightly hazy brown with a tanned head. Sweet with flavors of dark fruits. Slight earthy notes. Slightly vinous and sour towards the end. Sweet and somewhat dry finish.

11.2oz bottle. Pours a hazy brown with a small short lasting head that leaves decent lacing. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, and a little bit of licorice. Taste is the same with a nice med-full mouth feel that finishes sweet and slightly bitter. A very nice dubble.

Dark brown, with a thick tan head that thins to a half inch quickly. Very heavy malt aroma. Sweet and rich mouth feel. Definite raisin and chocolate flavors.

This beer is nothing special. It doesnt have the full flavor I expected. Their Triple was excellent. This was quite a letdown. The beer is rather hollow, no sugar to drive the yeast, to the point of excellence.

Bottle from World of Beer in Clearwater - just did the Triple now time for the Burne - thicker creamier head - fruity and malty - light caramel, raisins - definately less alcohol - pretty good dubbel but enjoyed the Triple more

Bottle at Robbies in Daytona Beach, FL. Poured dark brown color with a large light brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Good caramel malty aroma. Medium body with smooth texture. Full well balanced sweet fruity flavor with a medium complex finish of long duration. Good brew.

Maria (10213) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAR 4, 2007
Dark brown, nice head and lacing. The aroma is malty with notes of plum. The flavour is sweet, malty with notes of plum, raisin, candy sugar and citrus, that is a nice counterweight to the sweetness.

Heavy malty aroma. Huge creamy, light brown head. Excellent lacing. Mostly lasting longevity. Clear amber body. Heavy bitter initial flavor. Medium to full palate.

Strong chocolate, malt and alcohol aroma. Taste was a little thiner than I expected, but nice. The flavor is chocolate and alcohol. Warm sensation from the pronounced fusel alcohol, but that doesnt disturb. A nice beer overall.
