COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer has a generous head - compact and firm. Its slightly brown colour is the result of the roasted barley. It has a dark ruby brown colour and a very intense aroma. The aromatic herbs and spices used greatly enhance its delicious smell. This beer is full-bodied with a smoothness that is the result of the synergy of caramelized malts, carefully controlled fermentation and long cold storage. St Feuillien Cuvée de Noël has a very subtle bitterness that is the dominant flavour in this harmonious ale that strikes a perfect balance between all the different ingredients.

Alpha10 (917) - Ontario, CANADA - APR 22, 2018
2028/04/21 - Pours a clear dark amber colour with a foamy, off white head that slowly reduces and leaves minimal lacing. Aroma is licorice, toffee, toasted malts, Belgian yeast, dark fruits and spices. Taste is toffee, dark fruits, brown sugar, sweet bread, Christmas spices and herbal/medicinal notes. Mouthfeel is medium with sharp carbonation and a dry, warming, mildly herbal finish. Very enjoyable and easy drinking. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The beer pours a slightlu hazy golden red colour with a bubbly pinkish head which quickly recedes to a lacing. The aroma is berries, spices, caramel malt, and weak hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is dominated by Belgian yeasty notes, some caramel, some weak hops, and grainy malts. The beer does not taste as good as it smells, but still tastes pretty good.

Pours dark ruby with a small off white wisp. Aroma is deep caramel malts with light spices, cadamon, cinnamon and nutmeg. Taste is again light spice and sweet malts. I like the fact that the spices are light, a lot of times Christmas beers go heavy handed and kill the beer. This is subtle and easier on the palate. Very enjoyable.

Bottle from the LCBO. Pours a warm ruby brown with a big pale brown head. Lovely roasty aroma with caramel and toffee, and warm Christmas spices. Taste is warm winter spice, toffee, caramel, and a nice balanced bitterness to offset the sweetness.

Fajne.

33cl bottle at bar grumo. Dark mahogany color, light hazed, big tan head. Flavors of roasted malts, dried fruits, resins, dark bread and toasts, caramel with spices and burnt sugar. Taste is complex, sticky sweet but balanced with spiced notes. Medium to thick body, important ABV which is noticeable leading to a pungent finish. Very nice winter ale.

330ml bottle. Pours a lovely hazy ruby red with a brownish hue and a one finger orange tinged light beige cap. The nose makes me think "tripel with caramel notes" with faint hits of apple juice, light spice, raw pumpkin, and dried fruits underneath. Lighter bodied than expected, and not overly sweet, though there is some sweetness, this beer is MUCH different than I was expecting. I thought "Christmas equals sugar," and I was very wrong. Dried fruits with forward minerality, dark rye bread, and light earthy notes up front that lead into mineral bitterness forward malt notes, with spice, more dried fruit, and some bitterness in a finish that is VERY heavy with orange pekoe tea notes. It reminds me a lot of Westmalle Dubbel.

Spab (4430) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 3, 2018
330 ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours a lightly cloudy deep copper colour with modest-sized cream-coloured head. Aroma is candy sugar, lots of spice and fruit. Flavour has sugar and tree fruit sweetness with spice, grains and herbal character. Lively carbonation. Body is mellower than I might have expected. Nice.

Strong spicey-sweet aroma, and pours a deep ruby-brown colour with frothy head. Bitter taste and intense carbonation gives way to syrupy sweet finish and pleasing aftertaste. Delicious! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Where Purchased: 330ml bottle from the LCBO. Consumed: from a tulip glass. Aroma: Smells slightly fruity and sweet with some maltyness. A little hint of spice too. Appearance : unfiltered dark red gold with thick sticky head that lasts to the end. Very sticky lacing. Taste: very well balanced. not too sweet and no sign of hops. Little touch of spice. No booze taste. Palate : heavy body. Sweet aftertaste. Good carbonation. Overall: Such a well balanced and easy drinking beer. Not as good as the others I have tried from this brewer, but still very good. This was about perfect. I was glad to try and will definatley buy again. MB. The Beer "Bear"on.
