COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer has a generous head - compact and firm. Its slightly brown colour is the result of the roasted barley. It has a dark ruby brown colour and a very intense aroma. The aromatic herbs and spices used greatly enhance its delicious smell. This beer is full-bodied with a smoothness that is the result of the synergy of caramelized malts, carefully controlled fermentation and long cold storage. St Feuillien Cuvée de Noël has a very subtle bitterness that is the dominant flavour in this harmonious ale that strikes a perfect balance between all the different ingredients.

I drank it in bottle and on tap and have to say that and I have to say that in bottle it's a good beer but on tap it's excellent , red color full body, with equilibrated caramel herbs and spices very fresh despite its 9%

Bottle. Dark, amber, tanned head. Smell of dried fruits, anise, clove, other spices, dark fruity malts. Heavy sweet, dark and dried fruits, some caramel, seasonal spices, anise. Moderate bitter finish. Good stuff

Flaska delad med Samuel214, tack! Passerat bäst före-datum med tre månader. Kastanjebrun med ljusbeige krona. Aromen är torkad frukt, lakrits, mörkt socker, lite menthol, anis, banankaka. Något större kropp, fortfarande ganska bubblig. I smaken kolaremmar, mörkt socker, kola, malt, nästan lite nötiga inslag, mörk torkad frukt.

Bottle at the Aaahhh...Øl!!! Julebord 2016. Mahogny body with a tanned head. Aroma of raisin, bread, cherries, nutmeg. Christmas spicy taste with caramel and floral notes. Strong toasted mild alcoholic finish wit a sweet red fruit presence. A nice beer.

2013 bottle. First off, once the cage and cork were removed, the beer started a slow gush. Poured in to my glass, it kept on oozing from the bottle. Watch out for that. (pulled straight from the fridge) It pours a murky rust colour, great head of foam (big surprise??), good lacing. Smells of dark fruits, caramel malt, figs, light cardboard. (oxidation) Caramel malt and dark fruits up front, figs, oxidation, candi sugar tastes. Must have been quite the brew a couple of years ago. Medium body with not so high carbonation as I reckoned when I started this little adventure. Overall, I find it very enjoyable.

50 cl Bottle shared with Lena. Dark red color with tiny tanned head (Christmas appearance) Aroma, not that strong. Some bread, christmas spices, orange, cloves. Taste has more power than the aroma. Cloves, some other christmas spice, (cant remember) some alcohol. The aftertaste has some banana. First christmas beer of the season Lena would have given this around 3.8

At Café Botteltje, Ostend. Pours hazy dark brown with a diminishing, beige head. The aroma contains licorice, candi sugar, caramel, malt, yeast and spices. It tastes medium to heavy sweet, light spicy bitter and very light sour. Long, alcoholic finish. Full body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Delivers what you can expect from a classic Christmas ale, but delivers it well.

Bottle. Not bad stuff. Not great stuff. Not easy drinking. As you would expect from the style.

Had it from a 75cl bottle with cork. Well-crafted Strong Ale with nice, complex flavors, not only good for Christmas.
