COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer has a generous head - compact and firm. Its slightly brown colour is the result of the roasted barley. It has a dark ruby brown colour and a very intense aroma. The aromatic herbs and spices used greatly enhance its delicious smell. This beer is full-bodied with a smoothness that is the result of the synergy of caramelized malts, carefully controlled fermentation and long cold storage. St Feuillien Cuvée de Noël has a very subtle bitterness that is the dominant flavour in this harmonious ale that strikes a perfect balance between all the different ingredients.

Strong spicey-sweet aroma, and pours a deep ruby-brown colour with frothy head. Bitter taste and intense carbonation gives way to syrupy sweet finish and pleasing aftertaste. Delicious! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Where Purchased: 330ml bottle from the LCBO. Consumed: from a tulip glass. Aroma: Smells slightly fruity and sweet with some maltyness. A little hint of spice too. Appearance : unfiltered dark red gold with thick sticky head that lasts to the end. Very sticky lacing. Taste: very well balanced. not too sweet and no sign of hops. Little touch of spice. No booze taste. Palate : heavy body. Sweet aftertaste. Good carbonation. Overall: Such a well balanced and easy drinking beer. Not as good as the others I have tried from this brewer, but still very good. This was about perfect. I was glad to try and will definatley buy again. MB. The Beer "Bear"on.

Dark copper brown - nice head. The aroma is orange peel, and dried fruit. Nice on the palate - good body and nice lively carbonation in the mouth. Taste has a lot of depth - sweet and fruity balanced by a mild bitterness. Lovely beer.

Bottle just arrived in stock from LazyBO - huge head in pour, amazing wonderful beer, presents rooty kola spice and dryness, both tangy fruit and sweet dried dark fruit. A reference point for Belgian Strong Ale Complexity. Also there's grainy bread, chocolate, a bit of an 'Umami' stock/mushroom thing going on. For all its layers it's also fun to drink, as the palate is not heavy like say Chimay Bleue.

Thick creamy head. Falls back to a thick laziness. There’s a fairly spicy and orangey quality to the beer. Nutmeg, clove and some fruit skin. Fairly warming spiciness and a little bit of ethanol as well. There’s a bit of zestiness along with a touch of fruit. There’s a little bit of herbal flavour on the back that swells into a fairly pronounced licorice flsvour as it warms. Has a touch of orange character as well. There’s a soft sweetness on the back but it’s cut by alcoholic heat. Pretty nice.

Bottle from LCBO. Pours an opaque deep amber colour with two finger of lasting head. Dark fruits on the nose with some licorice notes. Taste matches the aroma with some herbs on the palate. Metallic finish. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

LCI. Uit de fles geschonken. Bijzonder bier: drop in de neus, kruidig-bitter in de mond. Geen hoogvlieger, niet onaardig.

Small bottle from Alko, pouring deep red color. Aroma of sweetness, licorice, anise, malts, caramel, sugar, yeast, spices and alcohol. Taste is quite boozy, strong body and taste, slight bitterness. Alcoholy aftertaste. Quite heavy and boozy, and not the biggest friend of this kind of sweetness, so a slight disappointment.

Keg @ Bishops Arms, Hornsgatan. Deep mahogany, tanned head that disappears completely after some time, poor lacing. Pleasant sweet malty and fruity aroma, dark dried fruits, caramel, mild spicy, resinous and earthy. Silky mouthfeel, soft carbonation, full bodied. Taste follows the aroma, pleasant sweet and malty, dried fruits, herbal, nutmeg and some earthy and woody bitterness for balance. Dryish and warming finish.
