This beer has a generous head - compact and firm. Its slightly brown colour is the result of the roasted barley. It has a dark ruby brown colour and a very intense aroma. The aromatic herbs and spices used greatly enhance its delicious smell. This beer is full-bodied with a smoothness that is the result of the synergy of caramelized malts, carefully controlled fermentation and long cold storage. St Feuillien Cuvée de Noël has a very subtle bitterness that is the dominant flavour in this harmonious ale that strikes a perfect balance between all the different ingredients.

Clear copper colour with nice fluffy head on top. Aroma has anise, herbal notes, grass. Taste has a lot of anise, herbal notes, not much else. Medium body and high carbonation. Very herbal and I don’t know where the Christmas is in here. Not my thing.

On tap at Bangers and Lace. Outstanding super tasty belgian strong ale. Complex sweet well-balanced flavor. Light bodied. Absolutely no alcohol burn. This beer is superbly crafted. No off-putting flavors or aromas. I could seriously down like a gallon of this and then promptly die, it’s that good.

Flaska från Belgoklubben. Mörkt rödbrun med beige skum. Doft av marsipan, kola och torkad frukt. Torkad frukt och karamell i smaken.

0,75 liter bottle. I’m normally no fan of Christmasbeers, but this one surpised me, it was quite nice! Best one so far!

Dit kerstbier heeft een zoet-kruidige geur. In de smaak komen citrus, kandij en laurier terug. Verder een niet thuis te brengen snoepachtige smaak. Niet helemaal geslaagd.

Johnstledger8 (1262) - Dublin, IRELAND - DEC 26, 2016

Rich, delicious combination of sharpness, sweet spices, malt, CO2, and finally some light, warming alcohol burn. Worth bringing back to the US for sure
