COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer has a generous head - compact and firm. Its slightly brown colour is the result of the roasted barley. It has a dark ruby brown colour and a very intense aroma. The aromatic herbs and spices used greatly enhance its delicious smell. This beer is full-bodied with a smoothness that is the result of the synergy of caramelized malts, carefully controlled fermentation and long cold storage. St Feuillien Cuve de Nol has a very subtle bitterness that is the dominant flavour in this harmonious ale that strikes a perfect balance between all the different ingredients.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2010 Bottled. A dark purply-brown coloured beer with a small tan coloured head. Big aroma of dried fruit together with a little oakiness, rum and brown sugar. The taste is yeasty and very fruity. Lots of different berries compete with candy sugar and alcohol. Quite complex and very tasty but the initial joy can give way to a little cloyingness.Score 3.5

Clear copper colour with nice fluffy head on top. Aroma has anise, herbal notes, grass. Taste has a lot of anise, herbal notes, not much else. Medium body and high carbonation. Very herbal and I dont know where the Christmas is in here. Not my thing.

On tap at Bangers and Lace. Outstanding super tasty belgian strong ale. Complex sweet well-balanced flavor. Light bodied. Absolutely no alcohol burn. This beer is superbly crafted. No off-putting flavors or aromas. I could seriously down like a gallon of this and then promptly die, its that good.

Dit kerstbier heeft een zoet-kruidige geur. In de smaak komen citrus, kandij en laurier terug. Verder een niet thuis te brengen snoepachtige smaak. Niet helemaal geslaagd.

Rich, delicious combination of sharpness, sweet spices, malt, CO2, and finally some light, warming alcohol burn. Worth bringing back to the US for sure
