COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer has a generous head - compact and firm. Its slightly brown colour is the result of the roasted barley. It has a dark ruby brown colour and a very intense aroma. The aromatic herbs and spices used greatly enhance its delicious smell. This beer is full-bodied with a smoothness that is the result of the synergy of caramelized malts, carefully controlled fermentation and long cold storage. St Feuillien Cuvée de Noël has a very subtle bitterness that is the dominant flavour in this harmonious ale that strikes a perfect balance between all the different ingredients.

2004 Vintage - 750 pours a beautiful deep amber red with a monster beige golden head and Belgian lace. The aroma is of dates and spices. The flavor is roasted, sweet, dark fruits, cinnamon, slightly yeasty, and banana. The palate is perfect BSA richness with a superior cleansing attitude that hits in the end. Overall, fine beer and a good one for my 500th rating.

Tap @ Hugos w friends/Don, Puddel etc. Appearance: pours clear brown with ok beige creamy head and lacing. aroma/taste: brown sugar, caramel, spices and a range of berry and fruity notes(green strawberries?). palette: strong yeasty and malty aroma, average carbonation, medium to full body, average to notable sweetness, somewhat balanced by a medium bitterness, average to long duration and an oily texture. Overall: very good Christmas beer

750 ml. Pour dark brown and relatively clear. Almost looks like a cola. Heavy molasses scent, with a good note of hops. Very heavy and sweet. A very good beer for the price.

Bottle. Lovely dark copper pour with a long lasting light tan head. A slightly spicy nose with a touch of caramelised figs, nutmeg and toffee. The mouthfeel is smooth and warming and the taste is about the same, with a nice balance between the spice and the sweetness. Highly enjoyable in the middle of the year in Melbourne, even though it is a "Christmas ale".
