This beer has a generous head - compact and firm. Its slightly brown colour is the result of the roasted barley. It has a dark ruby brown colour and a very intense aroma. The aromatic herbs and spices used greatly enhance its delicious smell. This beer is full-bodied with a smoothness that is the result of the synergy of caramelized malts, carefully controlled fermentation and long cold storage. St Feuillien Cuve de Nol has a very subtle bitterness that is the dominant flavour in this harmonious ale that strikes a perfect balance between all the different ingredients.

750ml bottle purchased at the Davis Food Co-Op. Aroma is a initially sweet, but it becomes quite peppery and spicy with some belgian dusty yeast notes. A little roastiness and some brown sugar is also present. The pepper prevails, though. Moderatley hazy amber body with an off-yellow/light tan head that is pretty large and pretty strong. Pretty nice lacing. Wow. Extremely metallic. Yikes. I feel like I am sucking on a penny. There is some sweet and sugary malt flavors in the middle with a bit of roastiness. Otherwise, this is dominated by a weird metallic flavor. Not a fan at all. As time goes on, the metallic flavor subsides, leaving a sweet, sticky mess behind. This beer is a fucking mess.

PREZENTACJA: klarowne, brązowo-rubinowe, obfita żłtawa piana opada do trwałej milimetrowej warstwy, nie oblepia szkła;
AROMAT: słodki, kandyzowane owoce, przejrzałe brzoskwinie, syrop klonowy, pumpernikiel, rodzynki, rum;
ODCZUCIE: ciało średnie, wysoko nasycone, lekko puszyste, ale też szczypiące w język, troszkę wykleja podniebienie, alkohol subtelnie rozgrzewa przełyk;
SMAK: mleczna czekolada, metal, syrop klonowy, niska drewniana goryczka;
OGLNIE: bardzo pijalne, mimo słodyczy i dużej zawartości alkoholu; ma świetny zapach przywodzący na myśl barley wine, smak psuje silna metaliczność.

Murky brown with medium brown head. Aroma is christmas spices, raisins, quince, figs, slightly burnt caramel, phenols, quadrupel stuff. Taste is intense bitter phenols and spicy yeasty stuff, some fig sweetness. The late bitter stuff ruins it a bit. Wild yeasts gone wild here.

Best Xmas beer Ive ever had. Not one of those syrupy sugar bombs like most xmas brews. This beer has class. Beautiful spiced mulled aromas that are truely unique: clove, ginger, dates but also candied citrus. Great stuff

Hazy mahogany brown, big ivory head. Stays. Licorice, caramel, toffee, spicy yeast, dried fruit on aroma. Medium body. Spicy taste. Rich malts. Caramel and toffee. Dried fruit. Low bitterness. Well done.

I bought this bottle at amstein and I drank it in family yesterday in Lausanne. In my opinion, it is a pleasant beer. The color is brown and orange, brown and white foam. The carbonation is average. The taste is sweet, malty, bready, good notes of apricot candy sugar, some hop. For a Christmas edition, there is maybe a lack of ginger bread, good one.

Nice Belgian Christmas ale but slightly overrated. Aroma is very sweet and sugary. Taste is sweet and Belgian (candi sugar). Finish is very nice, sweet, bitter and loads of toffee. Average Belgian with a very nice finish.
