Aroma - Figs and dates, some type of spice that I can’t pin down, maybe anise seed, and some nice herbal notes.
Ruby brown in a tulip glass , spare light beige head, with so-so lace.
Flavor - Very good balance with caramel up front and a spicy bitterness close behind, but not overwhelming the excellent malt character.
Palate - Medium to full body, light carbonation, smooth, and a very soft, dry palate.
Overall - Pleasant, easy drinking, and went down well at the end of a wonderful meal.
Bottle 75 cl. Pours a clear golden / amber colour with long lasting off-white head. Aroma is hops, yeast, citrus and spices. Flavor is again citrus, but also a bit "darker" with caramel, dark sugar and hops , giving it a slightly bitter finish. I am not too fond of Easter beers, but this one is ok. bottle at globen, kbh. aroma smelled like cognac, could be too old. was also served way too hot. below the aged taste sensations were some good stuff. i’ll probably re-rate when i find another bottle somewhere. uhre (384) - DENMARK - MAY 24, 2008
It pours a nic copper colour with a huge head! The aroma has yeast and perhaps some spicies. The flavor is also full of yeast and some spicies, which I cannot name. ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 30, 2008
Bottled. Pours out in a slightly hazy amber colour with a rich fluffy lasting white foam. Almondy yeast, dried apricots, dried oranges, cookies, mild herbs and all-spice in the aroma. Medium-bodied with notes of yeast, nuts, dried oranges and caramelized sugar with peppery alcoholic undertones. Smooth and rather chewy moutfeel. Dried yellow fruits, nuts and yeast in the medium-bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours clear amber/golden with big white longlasting head. Lots of malt and yeast in nose with notes of candy store and spices. Sweet taste with spicy notes and some bitternes in the aftertaste. BelgiskOlklub (1089) - Viby J, DENMARK - MAR 19, 2008
Bottle 75 cl. Shared with my self. Large creamy, white head that’s mostly diminishing. Good lacing. Red-brown clear body. It has a clear malty profile, is rather sweet but is well balanced by a good hoppy finish. Good spicing. It has a medium/full body, and a oily texture with a sweet feel on the lips. The carbonation is soft. petermadsen (390) - Vesterbronxxx, DENMARK - MAR 6, 2008
This beer pours a light copper with a nice white head.
The aroma is of dried plums, apples and a hint of hops. When it comes to flavour the dried fruits continues, but pepper, alcohol and a hint of sweet malt mixes in. Unfortunately there is a metallic, cabbage-like off-flavour in the end. But still a descent beer for the lamb... chriso (7536) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 17, 2008
Draught at Plan B, May 2006. Reddish colour Served rather cold to pick up much aroma. Lots of berry fruit in the flavour. Smooth and quite soft, with a surprisingly light body. Decent enough.

Brown beer with medium head. Sweet malty aroma with toffee and overripe fruits. Malty and spicy flavor with toffee, fruits and discrete bitter finish.
