COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Grand Cru is a speciality beer carefully crafted by Belgium’s St Feuillien Brewery. This extra-blond amber nectar masterpiece undergoes refermentation in the bottle, resulting in a beer endowed with unforgettable character. The secret lies in the unique combination of the most noble hops and the finest aromatic ingredients. Grand Cru differs from other beers in the range by its absence of spices. Its full, white head is light and frothy, and when poured it creates a subtle lace effect. The very pale colour of Grand Cru lends clarity and brilliance to its body.
Grand Cru’s delicate nose is a veritable cascade of hoppy aromas with hints of fruitiness coupled with subtlety and sheer richness.
When savoured, the first sip is light and intriguing. The next impression is one of a slight bitterness full of captivating nuances. When it hits the palate, Grand Cru creates a lingering moment of hoppiness, rounded off by an intense yet pleasant bitterness.

UPDATED: DEC 2, 2014 330ml bottle poured in a Leffe chalice. A: Pours a pale and bit cloudy yellow color with a huge bubbled white fluffy head that never disappears completely leaving some lacings. Medium retention S: Smell is sweet, citrus and malty. Also yeasty. Honey, orange zest, lemon zest, malt, quite citrus lemony hops and Belgian yeasts T: Follows the nose. Mild sweet upfront, Orange and lemon zest, honey, malts, Belgian yeasts and citrus earthy hops bitterness in the end M: Medium to heavy body. Good carbonation. Good bitter-sweet balance. A little bit molasses sensation O: Very drinkable well done beer. No regret! [ BA Review @ 3/21/2012 ]

12oz bottle brought back from Belgium. Wow, fantastic Belgian Strong. Very effervescent, with a dry, champagne like finish. Taste of pears, with no strong alcohol flavor lingering around to ruin it.

UPDATED: JAN 31, 2017 One of the newer Saint-Feuilliens, with a stable, yellowish white head and hazy yellow blonde colour. Grainy aroma, dried fruits, green apple, sweat, white pepper, cava, bread, vanilla; dry fruity taste, grainy and bitterish, strong, almost champagne-like carbonation, sweetish residual white candi sugar and floral hops in the finish. Fairly elegant but not too outspoken, like the rest of the range.

Bottle from de Bierschuur in Poppel. The beer has a pale color and a large white head with a lot of bubbles. In the aroma are tones noticable of hops and the sweetness of fruits and some spring flowers. Very nice. The taste starts light and fruity to change after a while into a nice hop bitterness. The finish is hoppy and a nice intense bitterness rounds it off. A very nice strong ale which reminds me of a tripel. Very well done.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a clear straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is big yeast, light malt, light hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet with a rich, malt, yeast alcoholic bitter palate and lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.
