Grand Cru is a speciality beer carefully crafted by Belgiums St Feuillien Brewery. This extra-blond amber nectar masterpiece undergoes refermentation in the bottle, resulting in a beer endowed with unforgettable character. The secret lies in the unique combination of the most noble hops and the finest aromatic ingredients. Grand Cru differs from other beers in the range by its absence of spices. Its full, white head is light and frothy, and when poured it creates a subtle lace effect. The very pale colour of Grand Cru lends clarity and brilliance to its body.
Grand Crus delicate nose is a veritable cascade of hoppy aromas with hints of fruitiness coupled with subtlety and sheer richness.
When savoured, the first sip is light and intriguing. The next impression is one of a slight bitterness full of captivating nuances. When it hits the palate, Grand Cru creates a lingering moment of hoppiness, rounded off by an intense yet pleasant bitterness.

A slightly hazy yellow pour with a white lacing head. The aroma is fruity sweet with a hint of lemon. The flavor is sweet with a bit of straw. The sweetness gets balanced at the back end with a nice bitterness. The alcohol is very well hidden.

Lemon citrus and a little funk dominate the aroma. Taste starts sweet with candy sugar and fruit. Finish is fruity bitter with some spice. This is part hefeweizen, part Belgian ale, and part IPA, but the combination works.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium to dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (herbs, flowers), moderately yeasty (cement, basement, cobwebs), with a note of alcohol, lighter notes of lemon zest, gum, and pepper. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic. A bit on plain side, but quite decent. Mild aroma, but pleasant (although a touch industrial, cement-like). Very drinkable flavor balance, not too sweet at all and quite dry in the finish. This is way more of a tripel than 90% of beers that call themselves such. Quite reminiscent of Westmalle, in fact, at least from memory.

Frischer, slicher Duft, Trauben, Aprikose. Beginnt slich, gewrzig. Danach gewrzig, Malznoten und sehr dicht. Malziger Auslauf, trocken und leicht bitter. Ein feines Bier.

33cl bottle at local Belgian bar. Pours cloudy straw yellow. Beautiful bright aroma of fruit and yeast. Wonderfully complex taste with brightness/hippiness that's well balanced. Fruit/citrus notes. Alcohol is not at all overwhelming at 9.5 percent. A very smooth finish. Lovely. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a straw yellow colour with a white head that lays a nice lacing in the glass after a while. Aroma of candy sugar, spruce and hay. Flavour is sweet, but some sourness copes well with it. Candy sugar, dough with a light alcoholic stitch in the end. Long floral aftertaste. Medium bodied, with loads of carbonation and a sticky mouthfeel. Reminds me of Tripel Karmeliet, but without the other maltypes. A good beer, I think I might buy this one again.

Bottle @ brewday. Aroma is winey fruits, some caramel malt and a hint of banana. Flavour is quite sweet of malt with some nice fruity prune and wine notes, touch of vanilla.

UPDATED: JAN 24, 2016 33cl bottle - Golden pour, fine foamy white head. Enjoyable, but very traditional-tasting Walloon/Belgian triple with a sweetish-oily texture, quite some fruitiness and too much malt sweetness over hops for my taste. Expected something more innovative or surprising in the flavour profile, going by the current ratings. // Stumbled across an old botte (bb06/2014): smells like banana quark, artificial dextrose (Froop), honey. Very carbonated and fizzy (no unctuous nectar here). Boiled down almond cake, Xmas Stollen...sticky and even sugary palate with an unbalanced bitterhop finish. Odd luxury classic that does not age favourably. (3.3 -> 2.9)

Kaatuu tulppaanilasiin vaaleankullankeltaisena ja hieman sameana, vaahto on kahden sormen paksuinen ja j isoina saarekkeina oluen pinnalle. Haju on vahvan belgihiivainen, jonka takaa lytyy kirpe sitrusta ja pryn, karviaismarjaa ja hieman ruohoa. Maku on tytelisen hedelminen (greippi ja tummempana hedelmn pryn), marjaa, ruohoa, marjapensaan lehti ja belgihiivaa. Suutuntuma on kaiken kaikkiaan tytelinen, humalan pistely tuntuu mys kielell. Kokonaisuutena tasapainoinen, maistuva ja monipuolinen belgiale, tykkn kovasti.

Golden with a white head - malt aroma along with some fruity yeast notes - taste is yeast dominated with some fruityness and malts - the yeast notes continues into the finish - a littel to much yeast flavours, but still good
