Grand Cru is a speciality beer carefully crafted by Belgium’s St Feuillien Brewery. This extra-blond amber nectar masterpiece undergoes refermentation in the bottle, resulting in a beer endowed with unforgettable character. The secret lies in the unique combination of the most noble hops and the finest aromatic ingredients. Grand Cru differs from other beers in the range by its absence of spices. Its full, white head is light and frothy, and when poured it creates a subtle lace effect. The very pale colour of Grand Cru lends clarity and brilliance to its body.
Grand Cru’s delicate nose is a veritable cascade of hoppy aromas with hints of fruitiness coupled with subtlety and sheer richness.
When savoured, the first sip is light and intriguing. The next impression is one of a slight bitterness full of captivating nuances. When it hits the palate, Grand Cru creates a lingering moment of hoppiness, rounded off by an intense yet pleasant bitterness.

Cloudy orange gold, big white head. Smells like a sweet, yeasty boozy mess. Tastes like one, too.

Bottle from the LCBO, this beer pours a clear straw colour with a bubbly white head that quickly dissipates with great lacing on the glass. The aroma is of Belgian yeast, crackers, alcohol, coriander, and orange peels. Tasting notes include sweet sugars, yeast, and boozy like a champagne. A very sweet Belgian, that packs a punch. Not a bad beer at all, would go excellent with cheese and crackers.

Very pale straw colour with a thin white head. Lovely spicy and fruity nose - a touch of clove and some nice herbal/spicy hop character. A touch of light hoppy fruitiness and a little bit of very delicate perfumey character. Fresh and almost citrusy (lemon) with a delicate sparkling palate. There is a very clean maltiness with a touch of white pepper. Duvelesque - refreshing yet interesting and it hides it’s high alcohol very well. Tasty, tasty brew.

Lukaduke (3206) - Gray, Maine, USA - MAR 31, 2013
Pours a nice golden color with a big frithy three finger foam. Big aromas of fruity yeast esters, grassy hops and a touch of ripe apple. On the palate it follows the nose nicely with clean pale malts, classic belgian yeast and ripe fruit, grassy hops and a touch of crackery dough... crisp dry finish. Nice beer.

UPDATED: APR 6, 2013 Pours clear light gold with a frothy white head and vigorous carbonation. Aroma is of fresh grass, lemon, bubblegum, with noticeable and yeast. Taste is clean, dry, medium-bodied, with a clean, lightly herbal finish. Slight acidity really brings out the taste. Very well balanced. Nice!

Blonde coloured beer with a floral aroma, taste is yeasty and candy like with a strong alcohol taste on the palate

330 mL bottle. Pale, almost golden. Begins with a large head, but that fades quickly to a sticky ring. Aroma is fairly standard - heavy on the fruity yeast. Some grassy malt underneath. Flavour is a little sweet, but fairly complex, with sweet orchard fruit, candi sugar, a little yeast, some herbal hops, and a touch of booze. It all works together well, but the sweetness gets in the way a bit. Good body. Not bad.

Un bon Cru ! Belle biere aux reflets blond or. Les aromes ne sont pas tres prononces et tendent vers le houblon, epices, fruits. En bouche elle est très soyeuse et le retour se fait sur les agrumes. Un équilibre parfait entre sucrosité-Alcool-Amertume. Le finish est relativement long.

Aubrey (3516) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - MAR 21, 2013
Spicy-sweet nose is very inviting. Effervescent carbonation -- fluffy in the middle, somewhat sticky in the finish. A bit cobwebby. Lots of yeast flavors and esters. Dough-like sweetness. Alcohol was hidden well. Overall, it was a little too sweet for me, but it had nice flavors and gentle aromas that made it very pleasant.
