Grand Cru is a speciality beer carefully crafted by Belgium’s St Feuillien Brewery. This extra-blond amber nectar masterpiece undergoes refermentation in the bottle, resulting in a beer endowed with unforgettable character. The secret lies in the unique combination of the most noble hops and the finest aromatic ingredients. Grand Cru differs from other beers in the range by its absence of spices. Its full, white head is light and frothy, and when poured it creates a subtle lace effect. The very pale colour of Grand Cru lends clarity and brilliance to its body.
Grand Cru’s delicate nose is a veritable cascade of hoppy aromas with hints of fruitiness coupled with subtlety and sheer richness.
When savoured, the first sip is light and intriguing. The next impression is one of a slight bitterness full of captivating nuances. When it hits the palate, Grand Cru creates a lingering moment of hoppiness, rounded off by an intense yet pleasant bitterness.

Pours yellow golden with a medium white head. Slightly metallic nose, light malt, nicely focused. Light malt and some fruitiness in the mouth, some resiny hops. Surprisingly bitter, and a bit sweet, but needs a bit more body to hold the whole deal together. Delicate and Belgian.

Bottle from The Bottle Lab, Leek. Pours a clear pale golden colour with a frothy white head. Aroma of tangerine, apricot, some lemon, a little straw, bready malts, a hint of nutmeg and slight herbal hops. Taste of orange, apricot, some lemon, a little straw, bready malts, peppery yeast, a hint of nutmeg, subtle alcohol and slight herbal hops. Medium bodied and moderate to high carbonation. A dry, slightly fruity, yeasty and herbal hop bitterness in the finish. A hoppy Belgian Ale, lots of herbal qualities with a fruity finish. Not bad.

0,33l bottle. Belgian Strong Ale is not my favourite style of beer, I prefer more hops in taste but sometimes I need alternation.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2017 Oklar ljusgul med tjockt vitt skum. Doftar kryddor, jäst och fruktigt, lite ananas och mango. Smaken fyllig, kryddig, lite torr. Eftersmaken lång med kryddiga toner, lite beskt och syrligt.

Bottle from Beers of Europe, drunk at home. Light yellow and just a bit hazy, with a loose white head. Gooseberry and slightly sour yeast in the aroma. Sweetish yeasty note with a tart bitterness from the medicinal hop character. Banana and lemon peel in the aftertaste. Strong carbonation. An excellent beer for sure but not quite my cup of tea compared to the rest of their beers.

Klasse.

Pours clear golden with high white head. Aroma is malts, cinnamon, yeast, some sweetness, grassy notes, caramel. Taste is caramel, bitter, citrus, some yeast, pine, cinnamon, some grass, roast, light yeast. Nice beer!

330ml bottle pours clouded yellow with bubbly white head. Aromas of Belgian hops, candy sugar, bread yeast and alcohol. Tastes of fermented fruit, floral characters, grain, yeast, wine wine vinous and vermouth. High carbonation, 9.5% alc vol and dryness give this beer a unique champagne-like quality. Body is a little thin to hide the high alcohol, but still a well crafted beer.

Couleur or doré avec tête blanche. L'arôme est la pâte, les levures épicées, le toucher de la banane. Le goût est une pâte sucrée, des levures épicées, des esters, sirupeux, collants. Bouche soyeuse, finale douce. Trop doux pour moi, mais bien exécuté.
