COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Grand Cru is a speciality beer carefully crafted by Belgium’s St Feuillien Brewery. This extra-blond amber nectar masterpiece undergoes refermentation in the bottle, resulting in a beer endowed with unforgettable character. The secret lies in the unique combination of the most noble hops and the finest aromatic ingredients. Grand Cru differs from other beers in the range by its absence of spices. Its full, white head is light and frothy, and when poured it creates a subtle lace effect. The very pale colour of Grand Cru lends clarity and brilliance to its body.
Grand Cru’s delicate nose is a veritable cascade of hoppy aromas with hints of fruitiness coupled with subtlety and sheer richness.
When savoured, the first sip is light and intriguing. The next impression is one of a slight bitterness full of captivating nuances. When it hits the palate, Grand Cru creates a lingering moment of hoppiness, rounded off by an intense yet pleasant bitterness.

Bottle. Pours with a hazed golden yellow hue with a lasting white head made up of very fine bubbles. Good lace. Aromas are grassy, grainy, pear like esters, dry, low peppery phenols, bready, medium alcohol. Flavors are bready, toasty, grainy, grassy, clean. Medium to low bitterness, dry and toasty with a medium to medium low yeast contribution. Very high carbonation, dry and slightly warming. Good.

Lovely beer overall. Pours a bright toasted orange colour with a puffy off white head that stays thick for a while. The nose is brightly hopped up with nice floral and citrus notes, lighter ester notes with a light fruity aroma. Mild mannered toasted malts, wheat and bready notes, light caramel and a touch of malty sweetness. Dry and bitter but not astringent. Mild alcohol presence with a light floral and leafy hop bitterness. Awesome estery brew.

Pours cloudy yellow with a large, creamy white head, long retention with light lacing. Aroma is moderate Pils and biscuit malt, Belgian yeast esters and spices and light earthiness. Flavor is moderate sweet honey and biscuit malt, Belgian Candi sugar, spices and a sweet finish. Full body and moderate carbonation.

Colore giallo, schiuma abbondante e persistente. Aromi di malto e costa di pane leggero accenno di lime e coriandolo. Al palato malto, frutta dolce e spezie. Lieve ma persistente carbonazione, corpo medio finale secco, al termine della bevuta si fa sentire l’alcol.

Bottle at Delirium Cafe, Brussels. After a few Belgians, it comes across as ’just another strong Belgian ale’. Some pineapple, soap. Should have saved the pennies though on the Grand Crun. Perfectly fine though.

Color amarillo, ligeramente turbio, con capa de espuma blanca de tres dedos de grosor (muy buena retención). Carbonatación a tope. Textura acuosa y efervescente (demasiado carbonatada).

Erg lekker.
