St-Feuilliens Saison is what the Belgians call a beer of the terroir, a traditional farmhouse ale with all the rich savour of the fertile land of southern Belgium. Saison, a warm golden blonde beer, is a top-fermented classique. Thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle, Saison has an unmistakable flavour full of rich nuances and a slight tang.Judge for yourself. 750s and 20L kegs only. In first instance, for export to the USA only.

Hazy with small particles adrift. Smaller off-white head. Aromas of yeast, light fruit, mild zest, and hints of spice. Pale malt sweetness lead to some heavier fruitiness . Bitterness kicks in the middle to finish. Has a bit of dry yeast and light clove and nutmeg in the linger. 12/13

Bottle at home picked up in Belgium, shared with Sarah. A gusher. A golden orange coloured pour with a lively white head. Quite a lot of flecks of yeast. Aroma is saison yeast, hay, semi sweet honey malts, faint banana phenolic note. Flavour is composed of semi sweet malts with hints of honey and banna bread, earthy nobel hop. Palate is semi sweet, frothy airy carboantion, decent semi crisp finish. Decent saison.

Bottled, 33 cl. Unclear golden amber colour with a fizzy off-white head on it, which diminishes completely and sediments on the bottom... Fruity nose. Taste mostly of oranges, aroma has caramel, citrusses, yeast and herbs, mouthfeel is crisp. Tart fruity, earthy and spicy finish...

Flasche (33 cl) von Jenny Lous, Peking. - Weizenbier-orangetrb.

From a 11.2 oz can. Strong yeasty nose, with bready notes and some mineral and floral touches. Dark golden pour with debris and thick, fine white foam. Watery initially, then a moderate body, thin fizz and surprisingly prickly, slick texture. Taste of esters and minerals and spices (coriander) emerge as it warms up. Lingering sourness from some earthy malts combining with the hops. Much fruitier than most saisons I have had.
