COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St-Feuillien’s Saison is what the Belgians call a beer of the terroir, a traditional farmhouse ale with all the rich savour of the fertile land of southern Belgium. Saison, a warm golden blonde beer, is a top-fermented classique. Thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle, Saison has an unmistakable flavour full of rich nuances and a slight tang.Judge for yourself. 750s and 20L kegs only. In first instance, for export to the USA only.

Color dorado, medianamente turbio, con capa de espuma blanca de dos dedos de grosor (buena retención). Carbonatación a tope (excesiva, para mi gusto). Aroma frutal (plátano), a levadura, pan, especiado (a granja, permítaseme decirlo). Creo que hubo un lío con el dry-hopping (o no lo hicieron o lo hicieron verdaderamente mal). Sabor frutal (plátano), a pan, entre ácido y dulce, sin llegar a inclinarse más hacia uno u otro, con final mínimamente amargo. ¿De verdad es una Saison? Como diría algún amigo mío: sabe y huele a cerveza.

Golden body with a lot of carbonation.Tastes wheat malt and is like a weiss and a wit. I don’t know what is happening...total disaster was the first beer of 2017.

Hazy with small particles adrift. Smaller off-white head. Aromas of yeast, light fruit, mild zest, and hints of spice. Pale malt sweetness lead to some heavier fruitiness . Bitterness kicks in the middle to finish. Has a bit of dry yeast and light clove and nutmeg in the linger. 12/13

0.75l bottle from beerbaboon in Berlin, 0.75e. pours a hazy golden with a huge but quickly disappearing white head. aroma of raisins, honey, oranges, funk. flavour of banana, bread, yeast, caramel. sweetish and slightly bitter bready finish.

Bottle at home picked up in Belgium, shared with Sarah. A gusher. A golden orange coloured pour with a lively white head. Quite a lot of flecks of yeast. Aroma is saison yeast, hay, semi sweet honey malts, faint banana phenolic note. Flavour is composed of semi sweet malts with hints of honey and banna bread, earthy nobel hop. Palate is semi sweet, frothy airy carboantion, decent semi crisp finish. Decent saison.

Hazy golden orange body, medium white, come back high with a little shake of the glass. Aroma of Belgian yeast, peach, mirabelle plum, mango, caramel. Flavour is far more simple. Belgian yeast, bread, caramel, some fruity hops. Medium bitter dry finish.

Bottled, 33 cl. Unclear golden amber colour with a fizzy off-white head on it, which diminishes completely and sediments on the bottom... Fruity nose. Taste mostly of oranges, aroma has caramel, citrusses, yeast and herbs, mouthfeel is crisp. Tart fruity, earthy and spicy finish...

Flasche (33 cl) von Jenny Lou’s, Peking. - Weizenbier-orangetrüb. - In der Nase die von belgischen Starkbieren vertraute, kandissüßliche und leicht parfümartige Pfirsichnote, dazu milde erdige und kellerige Saison-Noten: ein reizvoller Kontrast! - Im Antrunk belgische Hefe, Zitrone, Koriander und Kandis und ausreichend herber erdiger Hopfen. Schaumig rezent, limonaden-artig. Im Abgang leicht pfeffrige aber etwas schroffe Hopfenherbe. - Eher ein hopfenmäßig aufgepepptes Blondes als ein Saison. Nicht schlecht, aber ein richtiges Saison müßte um einiges kerniger ausfallen (Dupont)!
