COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St-Feuillien’s Saison is what the Belgians call a beer of the terroir, a traditional farmhouse ale with all the rich savour of the fertile land of southern Belgium. Saison, a warm golden blonde beer, is a top-fermented classique. Thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle, Saison has an unmistakable flavour full of rich nuances and a slight tang.Judge for yourself. 750s and 20L kegs only. In first instance, for export to the USA only.

Poor with ease. Aroma is of lemon and little vegetale and once it warms you get that wonderful belgian barnyard. Taste is floral, lemon, meringue with a warm mouth feel. I get mild gingerbread and lemon on the finish Very nice.

On tap. Appearance: slightly hazy orange. Large proud white head. Aroma: cloves and yeast and that distinctive Belgian ’farm’ smell, lemon too. Flavour: yeast and pepper, lemons and ’farm’ taste, sawdust and a hint of cloves in the finish. More like a Weiss than a saison for my liking but nice.

Can. Pours a hazy to cloudy honey golden with a fair eggshell head that hangs out for a bit and leaves some nice soapy lace. Nose involves fresh cut oranges, fields of grain, some spicy and earthy hops, some banana, light yeasty funk. Somewhat sweet, quite tart, and fairly bitter. Medium bodied, oily and slick, soft yet somewhat active carb, bright, with a lengthy drying toasty bitter finish. Very nice and refreshing, balanced, with plenty of character all around. Could saison cans be the feel-good hit of the summer? They will be for me!

I liked this one very much. Refreshing and some nice hop notes. Quite dry aftertaste with some gentle bitterness. The beer has the typical saison appearance, gold, yellow and very cloudy with a lot of white foam. Very simple, honest brew. Just great for a hot day!

Pours cloudy golden from 11.2 ounce can. Crisp, pleasant funky yeast thing going on. Imagine it would be deeply refreshing on a warm sunny summer day. Still great on a cold New Jersey Friday evening. Sourish apricots maybe almost a flowery hint yet just perfectly bitter. Hard to explain. Delicious, have to try it to fully understand.

Blonde troebelige kleur, met een duidelijke lichte hop geur. De smaak is prima, maar niet bijzonder.

Very pleasant, bright aroma. Beutiful minimalistic branding. Taste is just as bright as the aroma which is nice. Palate hangs, but not too long or unpleasant. Nice overall.

Bought this on can at vinmonopolet. It pours light golden with a white foam. Aroma has some fruity esters. Taste is slightly metalic, little fruity and watery. It is very light and easy to drink. Could be good in summer. I am a little dissapointed.

330 mL bottle. Colour is not that pleasant to look at, but I don’t suppose that saisons often are. Nice rocky, slightly off-white head, though. Sweetish, fruity, yeasty aroma - not at all funky. The flavour is more interesting, and drier than expected. More fruit, a touch of thick sweetness, some spice, some apple-skin bitterness, and . . . something else. White grape juice? Good body for the style. Not bad.

Bottle from vinmonopolet enjoyed at home. A decent saison. Had them better had the worse. Not much head or smell on this one tho...
