COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St-Feuilliens Saison is what the Belgians call a beer of the terroir, a traditional farmhouse ale with all the rich savour of the fertile land of southern Belgium. Saison, a warm golden blonde beer, is a top-fermented classique. Thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle, Saison has an unmistakable flavour full of rich nuances and a slight tang.Judge for yourself. 750s and 20L kegs only. In first instance, for export to the USA only.

Draft at Farmers Cabinet. Hazy orange amber pour. Fluffy white top. Fuzzy hoppy orange flavors. Numbing honey tangerine pith. Orange pips. Slight funk. Slight sour. Duck sauce. Juicy Fruit gum. Celery hearts. Orange blossom honey. Parsley. Thicker body than expected. Syrupy amber fruit. Above and beyond the average Saison.

Hazy orange, fluffy white head with some retention. Nice lacing. Nose is malts, coriander, floral tones, spice, yeast, citrus. Taste is malt, some non-cloying sweetness, coriander, yeast, citrus. Hops and spice in the finish. Medium bodied, crisp carbonation, dry palate. Nicely balanced and crisp, but thin.

Bottle, 330 ml, at home, poured into a tulip glass. ABV 6.5% Slighty hazy body, orange golden colour. Steady activity in it. Thick and tall white soapy head, with very good retention and good lacing left on the glass. Aroma is light fruity, with yeast and fresh cut grass. Taste is grainy, slighty malty, a bit of hay but not annoying at all, on the contrary it blends really well. Fruity aftertaste, very nice, it unfolds more flavours as the time passes. Medium body, soft fizzy carbonation. Light dry palate. Very nice and drinkable.

Spicey and fresh saison. Has a round flavor of grass and aroma hops. A bit too sweet though.

Great tasting Saison! This is exactly what I like about this style. Very drinkable at 6.5%. The fruit and spices really come out in the taste. Very smooth, but a crisp edge to it. Very balanced- this beer is put together extremely well.

tmoreau (3914) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - AUG 19, 2013
11.2 oz. can of the dry-hopped version, poured to a tulip at Lunar Brewing Co., showing a hazed, orangy gold color, with a modest layer of soft white head foam, and spots & streaks of lacing. The nose was sweet, esters, light spice, and subtle, yeasty funkiness toward the back. Light tartness worked well with the moderate hop bitterness. Light to medium bodied, effervescent, crisp and dry finishing.
