St-Feuillien’s Saison is what the Belgians call a beer of the terroir, a traditional farmhouse ale with all the rich savour of the fertile land of southern Belgium. Saison, a warm golden blonde beer, is a top-fermented classique. Thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle, Saison has an unmistakable flavour full of rich nuances and a slight tang.Judge for yourself. 750s and 20L kegs only. In first instance, for export to the USA only.

0.33l bottle from Pivoteka za popen’t in Ljubljana. Starts with huge foamy and persistent head, which has nice spicy, floral aromas and similar taste with a strong bitter note. Colour is orange and cloudy, apparently an unfiltered beer. Complex taste. Fruity, malty and has a lot of yeast as well. Moderate carbonation, harmonic mouthfeel. Bitterness not strong, but must be there because this is not a sweet beer. Aftertaste is dry, moderately bittter. Extremely well composed beer.

On the glass, amber, hazy and white head; nose fragrant ( bread) fruity, floral , herbs and mineral; taste: full balanced creamy body with a good balance between freshness and softness, soft carbonation with a medium bitter final.

A really good light farmhouse. Good aroma and medium mouth. Very drinkable and good to start with. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Off white creamy head. Light amber colour. Aroma is moderately malty with fruity (citrus, pear and apricot) and light hoppy notes. Flavor is moderately malty with fruity (pear and apricot) and light hoppy tones, ending in a modrately fruity finish. Light to medium bodied.

Bottle. Rather unconvincing aroma with weakish hints of yeast and thus banana. Again, taste is dominated by yeast and little else. A hint of bitterness. This beer is extremely average as far as ales go.

loscovar (402) - Villeneuvette, FRANCE - JUL 4, 2017
Bottle from la superette à bieres. Well, it is a good beer, but it’s a bit overrated to me.

Boothman (18) - Stockport, Cheshire, ENGLAND - JUL 3, 2017
330ml can from Beer52. A thick, slightly syrupy pouring hazy golden beer. Off-white, quite thick head which dissipated soon. Visible floaters of yeast in the glass (as one would expect from this unfiltered beer). Taste sweet, with a definitive orange juice note. Thick, cloying mouthfeel, at first (like drinking Sunny D), but finishing dry. Under carbonated, which is a surprise given most of the comments. Perhaps a rubbish can. Peppery, malty and yeasty - typically Belgian in that sense. Big-ish body, but faint alcoholic fumes through the nose. Not terrible, but not all that good.

Poncjusz (228) - POLAND - JUN 23, 2017

Sweet malty, a hint of spices (clove?), average bitterness, pretty dry. Well balanced. Good beer, but not very special.

33ml Bottle from Delhaze This beer is a little overrated Can’t say I felt the dry hopping

nutjes (1049) - Heestert-Zwevegem, BELGIUM - MAY 29, 2017
75cl-fles bij mijn schoonouders. Merci! U: Wazig goudblond-oranje met een witte schuimkraag. G: Kruidig, gist en bleekmout. S: Moutzoet met wat hopbitterheid. Droge afdronk. M: Dorstlesser met medium carbonatie.
