COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer has a white, smooth and very compact head. Its pale amber colour is very characteristic revealing a distinctive maltiness. It has a rich aroma with a unique combination of aromatic hops, spices and the typical bouquet of fermentation - very fruity. Secondary fermentation in the bottle gives it a unique aroma due to the presence of yeast. St Feuillien Triple has a very strong and exceptionally lingering taste thanks to its density and its long storage period.

Draft goblet at The Map Room, Chicago. Big golden pour with a bit of haze and a white thin pils head. Sweet tripel malt smell cuts through the damnable cigarette smoke in the room. Taste is almost too light, though. A nicely toasted light malt taste, slight bitterness. But the alcohol is hidden here. I know itll ambush me at some point, but I just couldnt pick it out.

BOTTLE 33 CL. Hazy golden-amber, creamy ivory head. Very fruity nose, sweet dried apricot, spicy herbs. The taste is medium sweet and fruity/apricot, with spicy bitter finish and soft massging mouthfeel. A good Tripel, on the sweeter side.

Bottled, 33 cl. Unclear deeper golden colour, lasting creamy white head, fizzy carbonation. Nose of fruits, spices... Aroma brings citrusses, bread, honey and herbs, taste of peach and lemon.... mouthfeel is slick to syrupy. Tart, spicy, gently warming finish. Fine.

Tap at Delirium Cafe. Sweetish and sugary, also feeling slightly oxidized and corny. Thin body and high carbonation. I have a feeling that this might be affected by the early hour of our visit.

Served in a Teku glass from a 330ml bottle. Pours clear golden colour with a thick white head. Aroma is grass, bread, yeast, banana. Taste is bread and sour dough. Medium body with lively carbonation. Pleasant enough but nothing really special about this one despite the ratings. Personally I would not seek this beer to try and re-live the experience as to me it tastes just like a run-of-the-mill typical Belgium Abbey style beer with no special character or taste, just a very ordinary Abbey Ale.
