COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional Bavarian beer with a generous amount of wheat made with a special strain of yeast that results in wonderful banana and clove flavors. Served ‘mit hefe,’ this ale is unfiltered, giving it a cloudy appearance and a bright white lacing head.

Keg at the brewpub, 8/19/16. Hazy yellow, thin creamy white head, decent retention. Aroma of wheat and clove. The taste is wheat, clove, crackery malt, mild banana. Thin.

Pours a cloudy bright yellow with white head. Bananas, cloves, and wheat on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes with more bananas and cloves. Nice.

Hazy yellow with foamy white head that leaves some lacing. Faint banana and clove aroma. Taste is some banana, spicy, fruity esters. Sort of sweet finish. Not a bad beer, didn’t blow me away.

This wasn’t nearly as good as their Pale Ale. Aroma was the best part with a traditional Bavarian Weissbier nose. Appearance was a fizzy, short lived, off-white head, no lace, and a clear pale amber color. Flavor was going in the right direction but then got way too sweet. Body was fizzy sharp. I’ll chug it down and that’s it. Probably good for cooking.

Bottle poured a clear gold with a lasting white head. Aromas of wheat, yeast and a hint of banana. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of wheat, yeast and a hint of banana with a smooth finish.

Pours hazy orange/gold with a moderate head that dissipates immediately. Carbonation bubbles flow continually. Aroma of oranges. Flavor is coriander and sweet citrus. Good beer.

Pours slightly hazy, pale yellow, with finely laced white head. Sweet wheat aroma. Slight yeast flavor, sweet start. Buttery texture. Happily reminds me Friday night fish fry in Wisconsin. Definitely benefits from the traditional wedge of lemon.

Pours a hazy medium golden amber. Small creamy off-white head. Aroma is on point. Sweet. Wheat. Banana. Clove. Fairly candied. Flavor is right along. Crisp opening. Giving way to creamy. Solid body. Touch of bitterness and light sourness and finishes with a but of spiciness. Quite nice.

Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a slightly cloudy light orange. Super foamy. Half the glass is foam. Maybe a bad bottle? Aroma of clove, banana and bubblegum. Taste is light sweet and follows aroma. Light bodied with a slick texture. Fizzy carbonation and a decently long finish. Not bad. Would love to try this fresh though.
