Bottle shared with northropfrye. Thanks for this one!!! Ha. The best thing about this beer is the appearance, crystal clear and pretty, I kind of enjoy looking up at the bubbles from below, but the aroma is underwhelming, and the palate gets watery quickly and the taste is not awesome.

northropfrye (3691) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - MAY 25, 2013
Faint bready aroma. Clear yellow body with white head and surprising amount of lacing. Taste is sweet, and bitter, not too pronounced, a bit medicinal. Not horrible.

Nothing too exciting about this. Aromas of grain, corn, and some fruit. Similar flavours.

OleR (4849) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 10, 2013
0.33 L bottle shared by KnutAlbert. Coarse white foam head over a Smell of bright pale yellow body. Smells grass and boiled vegs. Light, candy sweet malt body. Some papery hops is noticeable. Oily to watery mouthfeel. Sugary ending.

5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - MAY 3, 2013
Bottle:   Dirty straw, dishwater like head, faint, lacks lacing.   Stale dried straw on the tongue, sweetened however.   Flat semi-sweet straw on the tongue.   Smells and tastes alike.   Pretty boring overall, and average.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Very average at least without fault, but also very boring.   If I was in Ethiopia, I would dig this over a Budweiser or other American macro swill.

larsga (7656) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 3, 2013
Small white head. Clear pale yellow body with carbonation. Papery vegetable aroma with mealy notes. Sweet paper and candy taste with caramelly mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, slack, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish papery mineraly aftertaste with sugary notes. Not really offensive. (0.33l bottle from KnutAlbert.)

Very pale beer, boiled vegetable aroma. Flat, woolen blanket, cardboard, sugar. Well.....

12oz bottle at this little Ethiopian spot at 14th and P Streets NW in DC. For those who don’t know, DC has a thriving Ethiopian community and I am just getting around to trying their beer. Pour a clear gold with some sudsy, sticky white head. Nose of honey, wet flour, light dough, hay, grass. Flavor is the same, sweet, malty, some heavy honey, white bread, hay. Clean, smooth finish. Not bad at all.

JorisPPattyn (10072) - BELGIUM - FEB 17, 2013
Fluffy white head over big-bubbled yellow golden beer. Straw, grassy, dusty grass. Faintly wet hay, some dry, not-too-sweet malts. Very malty, sweetness comes out more in force warming up. Light to watery, very slightly sticky MF. Less sweet than the other Ethiopian beer, but not necessarily better. Thanks to the V. Brothers and their mystery supplier
