On draught at The Taphouse in Hampton. This beer pours a dark brown color with a medium beige head that dissipates slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted nuts, malt and hops. Light-bodied with flavors of toasted malt, nuts and grassy hops. The finish is mildly bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall. obguthr (6657) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Draft: Hazelnut nose, a touch vinegary. Cola brown, medium tan head, good lacing. Hazelnut and coffee flavor briefly, with a surge of blackberry at midpalate. Slight astringency. TheBeerGod (6261) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - DEC 15, 2012
Draft at St. George. Cola colored brown. Aroma is strong hazelnut and cocoa with toasted malt and dark bread. Taste is big hazelnut and cocoa, watery chocolate, toasted malt, dark bread, and soft caramel. Body is medium with a soft bubbly carbonation. Finishes with more hazelnut, big cocoa notes, toasted malt, dessert notes, coffee cake and dark bread. Nice!
