This Oktoberfest brew is a middle of the road offering. The pour is somewhat light colored. The aroma is weak but slightly hoppy. The taste is balanced and pleasant but not really remarkable. A good, not great, Oktoberfest. bytemesis (8411) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JAN 17, 2013

Clear amber pour with fair layer of near white head. Clean and not offensive, but weak on aroma. Flavor is slightly nutty and toasted and metallic, and all around just not nearly as good as the Sam Adams version. DocLock (10689) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 18, 2012
Draft at Fest Haus at Busch Gardesn Williamsburg. Poured translucent copper with minimal off-white head that disspiated quickly. Nose was earthy caramel malt, mild nutmeg, toffee, and hops. Tasted smooth, malty, earthy, with notes of brown sugar, hops, and offee, but not sweet. Rich and very enjoyable on a 90 degree day in Williamsburg. beachbum25 (1092) - Powellville, Maryland, USA - NOV 14, 2011
On tap @ 11th Street Taphouse, Virginia Beach Va-Copper pour w/a slight tan head. Malty aroma. Flavors of malt, toffee, caramel, nuts, pretty standard Oktoberfest, Very true to style, smooth & easy to drink. Had it on a cool, rainy late summer night @ the beach & it hit the spot, wound up the season well & made me look forward to the Fall.

Flavor is really light and kinda boring. BeerandBlues2 (13323) - Escondido, California, USA - OCT 23, 2011

Draught @ Busch Gardens: This one pours a clear amber color. There was almost no head or lacing on mine. The aroma is lighter but nice. Mainly caramel malt and earthy hops. the taste is OK. Caramel, earthy, slight sweetness. Smooth. Not bad, but still a bit mediocre. radagast83 (8069) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - AUG 26, 2011
12 oz bottle. Poured a clear, slightly darker, but still light amber color with a small white head. Aroma was light sweet malts, and a nice spice hop character to it. Flavor was malty, sweet malts, well balanced for the style, relatively enjoyable.
