Dry clean finish with light residual bitterness. radagast83 (8624) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - AUG 26, 2011
12 oz bottle. Poured a clear, slightly darker, but still light amber color with a small white head. Aroma was light sweet malts, and a nice spice hop character to it. Flavor was malty, sweet malts, well balanced for the style, relatively enjoyable. Butters (4062) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - SEP 16, 2012
Clear amber pour with fair layer of near white head. Clean and not offensive, but weak on aroma. Flavor is slightly nutty and toasted and metallic, and all around just not nearly as good as the Sam Adams version. Iphonephan (7474) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - SEP 28, 2013

9/30/2014. 12 oz. bottle. Deep amber with a white head. Malty and caramel aromas. Bitter earthy flavors, caramel, and light hops. obguthr (6826) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - OCT 9, 2010
Draft @ Brews ’n Blues fest in Gloucester VA: Lightly toasted barley malt and dried leaves aroma, with hints of spice, perhaps cloves. Clear dark amber thin head, decent lacing. Barley malt, dried leaves, potpourri flavor. Medium body, maybe a touch too much for the style but still ok. More bitter in the end than most Octoberfests. Quite similar to the Fall Bock I’m told it is replacing in the brewer’s seasonal offerings. This beer was very popular at the event where I was a volunteer. boto (2283) - Granby, Connecticut, USA - SEP 10, 2011
Draught @ Busch Gardens: This one pours a clear amber color. There was almost no head or lacing on mine. The aroma is lighter but nice. Mainly caramel malt and earthy hops. the taste is OK. Caramel, earthy, slight sweetness. Smooth. Not bad, but still a bit mediocre. Shanebrews (299) - Virginia, USA - AUG 17, 2013
This Oktoberfest brew is a middle of the road offering. The pour is somewhat light colored. The aroma is weak but slightly hoppy. The taste is balanced and pleasant but not really remarkable. A good, not great, Oktoberfest.
