UPDATED: JUN 5, 2007 A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet with light notes of roasted malt and chocolate. The flavor is very sweet with notes of toasted bread, leading to a rather dry end. omhper (25249) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - AUG 10, 2006

22nd May 2010. ChrisOs ’Blue Ridge Mountains Of Virginia’ tasting! Opaque black stout. Almost no head. Light soft palate. Dark unsweet chocolate with a whisper of paint that detracts from the otherwise good flavour. Finishes light and malty and warming. cgarvieuk (24792) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 22, 2010

Bottle at Chris’ Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia tasting. Black, lasting tan head. Roasted malt aorma. It’s alright. Qyite tasty. Everyone else is wrong again at this tating. I thought quite dry, grainy and drinkable. jtclockwork (16685) - , New Jersey, USA - NOV 11, 2010
Bottle thanks to Jcwattsrugger. Bottle. Russian Imperial Stout label. Pours black with tan head. Nose of pinot grape, roasted malts, cherry smoke and chocolate. Taste of same. More porter than stout. A bit hoppy and earthy for an imperial. Tmoney99 (14605) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 17, 2010
Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a dark brown color with a moderate to large frothy brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted chocolate, dark grape skin aroma. Medium to heavy bittersweet toasted malt and tannic flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a very good complex beer.
