Bottle thanks to Numenor: Pours a clear copper amber with a thin-lacing wispy off-white head. Sweet toasty earthy German malty aroma has some grainy notes and noble hoppiness. Body has some more sweet earthy malts with mild bitterness and a smooth, slightly drier, grainy finish. Well-balanced and true to style. copperipa (9) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - JUL 12, 2006 does not count
Bottle - Clear caramel color with fair amount of head. LIght aroma and balanced taste which is slightly sweet on the finish. Preferred this brew over the St George Lager. ross (2146) - weddington, North Carolina, USA - MAY 15, 2006
Pours out brownish color. Taste is sweet and fairly refreshing. Something I could drink alot of. An interesting brew to say the least, though I wouldnt recommend it over others of the style. hopdog (13102) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 15, 2006
12oz bottle acquired in trade with The_Beer_God (thanks!). Poured a deeper orange color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of grass, biscuity, caramel, and it also has a very light fruitiness to it. Tastes of grass, caramel, and bready. radagast83 (8476) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - MAY 4, 2006
12oz bottle. Not too bad. Hoppy, with some light and very crisp taste. Nice finish. Not a huge head.

Was pleasantly suprised at the nice hop balance of this beer. Generally i would have thought of a spring lager as a being crisp, light, and malty, but this takes that and adds respectable hop backbone. Cheers. OldRaspy (292) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - APR 21, 2006
Puored from a 12oz bottle a dark amber with a beige head. I had floral/grassy hops in the nose. The same grassy hops were in the flavor with a touch of sweet malts. maniac (3800) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAR 16, 2006
Clear dark amber color with a thin frothy off-white head. Light sweet malt aroma. Sweet flavor with lots of grassiness. Numenor (871) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - MAR 15, 2006
Reddish-bown body with a light white head. Grassy and corn-on-the-cob aroma. Heavy grasses and hops in the taste, the hops mute the grasses somewhat. Corn-on-the-cob ending. Very nice for a lager. TheBeerGod (6261) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - MAY 30, 2005
Draft at the Green Leafe in Williamsburg on 5-29-05. Copper bodied with a small white head. Nose is caramel, malts, light grassy hops, and light cocoa. Taste brings out light caramel notes, creamy malts, mild hoppiness, dried fruits (for some reason I could swear I picked up melon), light cocoa and tea leaves. Body is medium with a light carbonation feel. Finishes with creamy maltiness, light cocoa, bigger fruitiness, light hops, brown sugar and thinned caramel.
