COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St. George Spring Lager is a classical example of what many consider to be the original lager beer. Amber-colored and medium bodied with a rich, roasted malt character this beer has a smooth, slightly sweet malt flavor with traditional German hops providing a noble, perfectly-balanced hop bitterness. A slightly fruity, dry finish tops off this style as does a thick, creamy white head.

Pours out brownish color. Taste is sweet and fairly refreshing. Something I could drink alot of. An interesting brew to say the least, though I wouldnt recommend it over others of the style.

12 oz bottle. Clear orange tinged gold with a small off white head. Earthy sweet malt nose, toasty, hints of grass. Sweet biscuity flavors, caramel, some grassy hop bitterness. Lightly grainy. Crisp finish, light herbal hop bite. Nice.

12oz bottle. I’m not huge on lagers, but I’ve been loving this one. Pours a dark/reddish hay with a slight head. Smells and tastes more like a toasty pilsner. As a "Spring" beer i think it does the job perfectly. Light, refreshing, nothing offensive.

brewblackhole (1588) - Muskego, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 11, 2006
Tangy malty lager aroma, malt beginning with a zingey spicey hop finish, Slight sweetness in the aftertaste. Tastey enough to be above a lawnmower brew

MaltDawg (1344) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - MAY 9, 2008
Off taps at Capital Ale house. Clear copper color with tiny head. Aroma may be vienna style malts but was hard to get in a smoky bar with odors of pickles and perfume wafting by. Fairly hoppy flavor with some yeast fruityness and moderate malt backbone. Reasonably light mouthfeel with moderate arbonation. Good light drinking beer that might be a good introduction to craft brewed beers.

LooseCannon (938) - Norfolk, Virginia, USA - APR 20, 2008
12oz bottle. Pours hazy amber in color with white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and light floral hops. Taste malty with dry finish.

Numenor (871) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - MAR 15, 2006
Reddish-bown body with a light white head. Grassy and corn-on-the-cob aroma. Heavy grasses and hops in the taste, the hops mute the grasses somewhat. Corn-on-the-cob ending. Very nice for a lager.

KingpinIPA (841) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 27, 2006
Golgen amber color with a overflowing head. Smell of malt, hops honey and alcohol. Taste of honey, cork, rye, hops, malt and a hint of flowers. A nutty bitterness at the end.

The feeling I get from this brew is not much.....Taste is watery and amazingly absent. Pour is nice brown and has a beautiful thick head.
