Bottle , Zimbus Drachenblut. Chestnut, brown cream. Pumpernickel and fruit aroma. Fullbodied chewy bready malt base, berries, light roast, caramel, good grassy, herbal and aromatic hop counterpoint. Solid offering in more than one sense.

50cl bottle from Bierzwerg. Amber, clear, white head. Aroma of sweet malt, cereal, malt. Flavor has sweet malt, wet paper, bread. Light bitter, sweetish finish. Not in best shape.

Bottle. Dark brown with a thin foam. Aromas are Weetabix and nutty malts with raisins and rye bread. Slightly smoky with fudge and woody whisky barrel notes. Hints of banana with light metallic elements. Flavours are smoky and earthy with light whisky and sweet Weetabix and caramel. Some mellow lemon with raisins and a dry finish. OK.

Mariusz (12088) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - MAY 12, 2013
Pours a golden-amber colour with a white head that dies away after a while. Flavours of caramel, wheat, grassy hops and yeast again.

Bottle from Zly Casy, Prague. Clear golden beer with a small offwhite head. Bready aroma, hay, a bit strange. Hoppy bitter flavor at first, bready, biscuits, a bit sourish. Not a top beer at all. Hoppy grassy finish, somewhat sourish and with bready notes.

Christos (5882) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - MAR 9, 2013
500 ml swing top bottle, bought in Germany as Zimbus’ Drachenblut. Poured into an english pint glass, ABV 5,6%. Deep amber in colour, with two fingers of thick, beige head. Good retention and nice lacing left around the glass. Faint smell of caramel and a bit of roasted malts on the background. Nice sweet taste at first, becomes quite blunt and boring on the aftertaste, although with a nice bitterness, coming from roasted malts. Some caramel again and kinda metallic. Light to medium thin body, average carbonation. Not bad, indifferent though.

Bottle shared with McTapps. Interesting one with a taste, look and smell between an ale and a bock. Hops in the nose is great but no carbo makes it a bit dull.

McTapps (6954) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - JAN 31, 2013
Bottle bought as "Zimbus Drachenblut - das Ritterbier". deep amber-brown in colour with absolutely no head and no carbonation. Looks like an Ale. Taste of nuts, rich malt, mild hops and roasted grains. Easy to drink and it comes very close to an Ale.
