Reminds me more of a filtered version of their Kellerbier with a slightly upped AbV.

In bottle at the brewery in Buttenheim. Deep gold crystal clear colour lasting white head. F ok .unny for a bottled German beer it lacks a little in the carbonation. Syrupy malt and watery at same time. Not a triumph. Bottle at home. Aroma is bready malt, caramel, nuts, light toffee, hint of hops. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a light bitter finish. Body is medium. Not a bad Märzen.

Light kinda blank aroma. Beautiful golden lager with lots of beading and lazy foam. Nice toasty malts, sweet and slight happy hoppiness at the end. Bottle shared outside the brewery on day 2 of the Bamberg Jolly of January 2014. Pours clear amber with a frothy, off-white head. The character is comprised of toasted bread, caramel, dried grains. Draft at St. Georgen Bräu in Dec. 2012: Clear golden with a coppery sheen. Broken white foam. Attractive nose of marmalade fruitiness, flowers, apricot, and rich toast. Stiff carbonation. Thinnish body. Slickly fruity and succulent with dense jammy notes of apricot rising over a fresh biscuit and cookie malt softness. Mild tang of soured fruitiness emerges, but ample toasty dextrins swiftly clean things up. Well-structured malt. Finishes with a muted floral kiss and a punch of dry malt over a rich, Munich-derived nuttiness. Would gladly exchange the prevalent fruitiness for more dryness, but overall this is a quality Märzenbier.
