On tap at the brewery. Deep gold colour lasting white head. So loving the Keller and pilsner here interesting to have the vollbier. Bready aroma. Yes fuller than the Keller or pils. Still got a huge slap of hop and bitterness on the finish. Malts are juicier. Maybe not the drinkability of the pils or Keller but has the character and carries a little more weight. Good. The cereal malt flavour really comes through. Hard to rate.

Tap at a Pizza joinit in Buttenheim. Glowing, clear gold with a high, pillowy head. Slightly spicy, herbal , peppery nose. Clean, bready, crackery malts. Spicy hop flavor, bland but subtly peppery finish. Not very interesting but decent enough. Drinkable and a bit too mild.

(St. Georgen Bräu Vollbier Hell) Bottle 500 ml at home, served into a lager glass, ABV 4.6% Pours a golden yellow colour on the body, crazy activity in there! Almost two fingers of white head, collapsing fast but the remaining foam has a vry good retention. Aroma of fresh grass ans straw, some lemon notes, light noble hops. Taste has a few malts, grass, again hay/straw, light hops but kind of stale now, mildly bitter aftertaste. Medium body, soft carbonation. Not a bad one.

Fra fat på Winterkeller, Forchheim 11 Okt 14. Gyldengulbrun. Bra kremaktig skum. Beskjeden aroma av gress & mais. Smaken syrlig med et lite malt-preg.

It could just be me, but this might be one of the most transparent beers I’ve ever poured. Aroma is a bit flat but the mouthfeel has pep. Nice subtle bitterness.
