On the basis of ancestral recipes, this relatively light blonde, remains faithful to the principles of the monks who populated the old abbey of Belgian. It refreshes intelligently, and will charm the thirst in hot weather.

Bottle at home. It’s a blonde. Some of the yeast kicked up with some fluffy yeast floaters and the head disappears quite quickly. Yeast and burnt sugar aroma. Sweet with a little bit of bitterness. Syrup tastes and a sugary finish. Not great.

Somewhat clear copper with a thick, dense head. Aroma is malty with a bit of straw. Taste is vanilla, powdered sugar, and some caramel.

33cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring, ABV 6.5%. A hazy amber pour with a billowing cream head; yeasty aroma; soft sweet grainy body; with a yeasty caramel finish. Unexciting, but definitely Belgian.

33cl bottle. Aroma is nothing that special. A bit grain and hops, might be some citrus fruits. Pours hazy dark golden with a decent head, lacing. Taste again is nothing that special. A bit herbs, grain, dried sweet fruits.

Letdrikkelig blond som ikke gør det store ud af sig. God terrasse øl når den serveres kold lige fra køleskabet. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

La St Idesbald Blond ha un aroma speziato e fruttato di ananas. Gusto morbido con retrogusto fruttato e leggermente amaro. Leggermente torbida.

Bottle from World Beer Market (Sake no Taniguchi). Honeyish, floral nose, with light Belgian yeast and some mild overripe citrus. Medium amber color, some lace, and lots of floating sediment bits. Bready initial flavor, with a light maltysweetness, some peach, alcohol, and mild bitterness in finish. Medium body. Okay. Abbey stuff. Was hoping I’d like it more.
