Authentic abbey beer, usually served in a stone bowl. Fruity, malt sweet, with spicy yeastiness and mild grassy hop bitter finish. Clich but not bad. Taken over from Damy in 1994, like the other Sint-Idesbalds.

(St. Idesbald Blond) Bottle 330 ml at home, poured into a tulip glass. ABV 6.5% Golden orange colour on the body, tall and fluffy white head, with very good retention, leaving light lacing around the glass. Aroma has lots of apricots, quite sweet, some yeast, malts. Quite fruity. Very fruity on the taste too, apricot, peach, light caramel, some malts, light alcohol on the finish, sugar. Medium body, carbonation towards the high side but still on good levels.
