Our IPA is bright copper in color with a wonderful citrusy hop aroma. Island Hoppin has a great malty body that pairs well with the dry hoppy finish. IBU’s 50, Warrior, Cascade, Willamette.

Cunningham (8401) - Halden, NORWAY - JUL 8, 2014
Appearance: Lovely hazy orange golden color with a fine white head that leaves a nice lacing.
Aroma: Fruity, malty, mild parfume and citric hoppy.
Palate: Medium + body. Tad sweet and a fine bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Fruity, some spicy notes, citric hoppy and a deep malty back. Some butterscotch in the back.
Overall impression: Not the best IPA in the world, but drinkable. Germany – Brazil 7-1 WC semi 2014.
Personal stats: Bottle from a trade with Nisse666

Pours a dark amber color, topped with a small just slightly cream colored head that disapears very quickly. There is a very pleasant mild fruity aroma, some citruses and caramel. The taste is slightly hoppy, creamy with some caramel in the finish. A small amount of bitterness left in the aftertaste. Easily drinkable, smooth and enjoyable.

Malty, bready aroma. Not much hop floral notes. Amber with foamy head. Bitter tast, with some malty sweetness. Not a great tasting brew. Bitter, thin on palate. Overall, not a great IPA by any stretch. Would not recommend.

Bottle 12 fl oz thanks to Nisse666! Sampled on June 11, 2014.
Clear brown color, big lasting fluffy off-white head. Sweet, malty, sugary, caramel, hoppy, floral scent. Malty, bitter, hoppy, caramel, some alcohol taste. Bitter, floral, citrus, alcohol, caramel aftertaste. A bit waek mouthfeel with low CO2, medium to medium high bitterness with an alcohol bite to it.

12 ounce bottle. Amber orange with a fluffy beige head. Fruity malt aroma with a hint of resiny pine hops. Smooth toasted malt flavor is balanced by spicy peppery hops. Some tropical fruit in mid taste. Dry bitter finish. A decent IPA, but just average.

Bottle 355 ml from Nisse666, thanks Thomas! New country tick! Poured into a tulip glass, ABV 6.2% Deep orange colour on the body, with a tall and thick off-white head. Very good retention, light lacing on the glass. The body is clear, with good activity in it. Aroma of caramel, malts, grapefruit, floral notes. Taste is nice, fruity, some light grapefruit and orange, some butter, a bit of alcohol, caramel. Mildly bitter. Medium thin body, good carbonation, quite dry palate. Overall more than okay IPA.

Leighton 10K tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Rocket for this rarity. Light haze on this gold beer. Small pale cream coloured head. Palate is airy and dry. Mild fine carbonation. Mild dry malty sweetness. Marmalade and floral things, both mildly bitter. Dry finish. Not too bad. Started rough but grew a little.

Bottle at Black (IPA) Friday tasting, thanks to Nisse666 for this extra - cheers Thomas, 09/05/14. Very lightly hazed golden orange with a moderate off white swirl atop the glass. Nose is caramel, floral notes, bitter orange, spice, a little buttery. Taste comprises light caramel, straw, floral hop notes, perfumed, orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with light hop bitterness. So so affair, not a lot going on here, still definately the best beer I’ve rated from the Virgin Islands though (well Shipyard!).

Leighton (22307) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 9, 2014
Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Colin for this obscurity. Pours clear, light gold with a fine, creamy white head. Pretty mediocre stuff, lots of herbal hops, old pine, dry pale bread, some tangerine. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. More dusty pine on the finish, light sweetness, herbs, some citrus pith. Meh, shabby.

Bottle @ Chez Bruce. Amber small head. Massive creamed corn nose. Cotton candy. Sort of artificial and nasty. Taste is very papery. Almost rancid bitterness. Light melon if I’m being charitable. Light body, quite fizzy. Cheers to Shipyard for the garbage juice.
