hay, grass, citrus, bubblegum, licorice, cooked vegetables, amber, sparkling, white foam, heavy cloying sweetness, lightly bitter, heavily sour, medium body, lively, JorisPPattyn (10004) - Ursel, BELGIUM - AUG 4, 2004
Dense, cyclamen-red head, slightly irregular on deep garnet beer. Sweet expressly fruitnose, unmistakably blackcurrant, jam-like, but not artificial smelling (apart from a bit of gas-like aroma). Surprisingly tart, fruit-acid taste, blackcurrant & blueberry. No horseblanket, but background of lactobacillus-like esters and acids. Nice. Light to medium bodied, very refreshing; long tart aftertaste, dry-out effect. This IS a major surprise. It has nothing to do with lambic, but then neither has Bitter End Sour Prick. This one is really a good one to wean the young and unthoughtful from the breezers. MartinKubert (862) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 8, 2004
Strong aroma of black currant. Really dark red/purple colour. Small head. Nice sourness combined with the sweetness of berries. Strong finish and aftertaste. Fruity. Great. Nate (4279) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 3, 2003
Nice black currant aroma, bit sweet-syrupy. Dark blood red clear with light pink lacing head. Medium watery body and medium high carb. Very tart up front, good sour black currant flavor. Sour finish, some hoppiness. Light fruity after - my first cassis. Ernest (7697) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 18, 2002
Head is initially average sized, frothy, purple, mostly lasting. Body is
dark purple, moderate density of tiny particles. Aroma is lightly malty
(light bread), lightly yeasty (mold), with notes of cassis and concord
grape, hint of celery. Flavor is heavily sweet, heavily acidic. Finish
is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, watery
texture, lively carbonation, moderately astringent. Weird vegetal
(celery/cilantro) aroma under the fruit at first, but it seems to
virtually disappear as the head dies down. Good flavor balance makes it
enjoyable though. Very sexy appearance.

Strong grape aroma. Pours a dark purple with a light purple head. The flavor is just like a sweet tart! Sweet with a great tart finish. tomthompson89 (1982) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 24, 2007
dark ruby purple colour, head is big slightly purple and laced nicely, nice tart flavour which surprised me, not sour enough for a real lambic. Jerre (3415) - Waregem, BELGIUM - JUL 26, 2008

UPDATED: AUG 3, 2003 Wow! What a colour, man! Hey! Gee! Oh my! I never seen one like THAT before. Get the camera. Get the FBI. Bring all your mates round. Let's just sit and watch and dribble and cover our toes with peanut butter. Mmmm. Gotta give that a 5. It radiates. It just gives off a glow, like Caesar burning. His robes smouldering softly in the evening light. O joy! And then that yeasty blackcurrant aroma. And then plunge into the devilish sweet/sour sharp/soft yummy yum yum of a fruity tang. Fresh. Slap your face. I love these fruit lambics. I just love 'em! [3.7]
Re-rate. Same again please guv'nor.
