Ungstrup (38958) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 11, 2006
A deep red beer with a pink head. The aroma is sweet with notes of almonds and raspberries. The flavor is sweet with a slight acidic touch, and lots of raspberries. Too sweet for me to really enjoy it.

Deep purple in color with a medium sized pinkish head, good staying power, very attractive lacing. Aroma of fresh fruit. Taste begins sweet and rapidly turns more sour, with a bit of citrus and a very faint mustiness. Sour and slightly dry finish. Nice, but in small doses.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2006 (Bottle 25 cl) While sweetened, commercialized gueuzes can often be a pleasant experience. That is much more rarely the case with the sweetened, commercial gueuze-based fruit-beers. Nice pale red colour, very sweet, very fruity and fresh to some extent. Nice aperitif before it sickens you. 040993

Leighton (22821) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 31, 2012
Bottle at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration Tune-Up, London. Pours clear ruby with a fine, pink film. Bit of bright raspberry in the nose. Medium to big sweet flavor with jammy raspberry and light tartness. Light in body with fizzy carbonation. Sweet, lightly sticky finish with tons of sugary, tart raspberry. Sweet, but there’s enough tartness to offset it a bit.

Looks like grape juice. Stale berry floral nose. Liquid fruit juice taste. I normally like these, but wasn’t impressed with this one. Rated 4/18/10

Scopey (16274) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 8, 2012
Bottle at my Pre-CBC Tune-Up Tasting. It pours pink, with a bubbly pink-white head. The nose is overall pretty damn sweet - jam, raspberry and jolly ranger. The taste is raspberry, jam, white sugar, hint of tanginess and jolly ranger, with a sweet-tangy finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Far too sweet for me.

MiP (16055) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JUL 23, 2006
Very sweet raspberry aroma. Deep red colour, small pink head. The flavour is quite sweet with a hint of acidity. OK frambozen, but with a hint of aspartam in aftertaste.

Raspberries, and I’m not relating to Thoroughly Modern Millie. In the aroma, in the flavor, and the early finish seems the same as eating fresh raspberries, perhaps even a hint of seed. The sweet is nearly balanced by the tart. The new label is a bit sad, lacks the character of the old. Final finish hints of a sour lambic characeristic.

Ratman197 (15624) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - MAY 15, 2009
375 ml bottle poured a clear dusty ruby with a small diminishing pink head. Aromas of raspberry, light cookie, light honey and a hint of funk. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a lightly tart finish. Flavors of raspberry, cookie and a hint of funk with a crisp lightly tart lingering raspberry finish.

Tmoney99 (15126) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 17, 2012
Bottle. Poured clear dark reddish color with an average frothy reddish off-white head that mostly lasting with fair lacing. Good tart raspberry & sour aroma. Medium body with tingly sticky texture and soft carbonation. Moderate tart fruity flavor with a solid tart fruit finish of moderate duration.
