Beermarket.hu Tasting session @ Budapest. Sour and sweet on the nose, almost a bit sherry like. Lovely and tart to taste with a touch of toffee on the finish. Very refreshing. willisread (3293) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 28, 2016
375 ml bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a slightly hazy light copper with a finger of foam that dissipates fairly quickly. Pear and apple on the nose with some muscat notes early on. As it comes to room temperature lots of oak aromas dominate the nose with some wet hay and cobwebs. More of the same on the palate but the oak really stands out strong with some light vanilla. The fruit notes become muddled. Nice tartness throughout with good carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Nice on a hot, muggy night, but lacks the complexity of other gueuzes out there. ninecats (528) - Uddevalla, SWEDEN - JUL 10, 2016
Sample at En Öl- och whiskymässa, 2016. Fairly hazy orange, small white head with no retention. Aroma is woody, funky, vinegar, citrus, grass, slight sweet jam note. Taste is sour to tart, vinegar, citrus, brett, funk, slight sweet in the far back, byt mostly citric on the edge to vinegary taste. Medium to big body, low to zero carbo. Bottle, shared by Phil - thanks! Hazy dark amber. Faint bandaid, apricot and other fruits on the nose. Sweet, farmhouse, acidic, would almost say vinegary, woody dry, apple peel taste/flavour. Strangely, some wasabi (chips) (no one agreed). Sticky in mouth, thin carbnation. Torrefacto (1667) - Madrid, SPAIN - JUL 2, 2016
Ámbar turbio. Aromas de uva, manzana verde, cuero, brete. Cuerpo medio con sabor como en aroma, acidez redonda y final seco.

750 ml bottle. Thank you, FatPhil. Bit hazy, dark yellow colour. Modest white head. Notes of white wine and vinegar, sourness, slight fruitiness, hints of citrusses in the aroma. Hints of apples at first. Cider-like crisp. Hinra of vinegar in the middle. Sourness, wood, hints of berries in the end. Rather light bodied, medium carbonation. Quite good geueze. 750ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Hazy amber color. Small size, white head, stays as a ring. Sweet, fruity, acidic, ice, faint tobacco, woody, apples in aroma. Acidic, sweet, fruity, apples in taste. Acidic apples and sweet in aftertaste. Acidic mouthfeel. Some wood too. And some spicyness. Drinkable brew. heavy (2817) - Split, CROATIA - JUN 15, 2016
Jan. ’16. A 0.375 l bottle. 5% ABV. It poured amber to orange body with a big head. Typical lambic yeasty apple aroma, sour wine, other fruits and light wood. Flavor was lightly sour, cidery, lemon, honey, wood, apricots maybe. Medium body with long, tart berry and apple finish. Okay, a pleasant lambic, although nothing special indeed. Smells of woody sharp cider, some old schooldesks. Thin palate, crisp and sharp. Less interesting taste, pleasantly sharp, but dullish. Lacking depth, lacking bredth too. Sharpness builds up, that bit I do like. But something lacking in this geueze - it needs to reach out and grab me more, to dance on my tongue.
Bottle shared by Phil, thanks! Murky brownish amber beer, small off-white head. Nose is citric, woody, tart, acidity. Flavor is fairly sharp tartness, fruity, dry and woody notes. Woody and dry finish, mild fruity notes, apples. Lingering fruity dryness, apple peel and lemons. Crisp mouthfeel.
