For 6 months the flesh of the fresh sour cherries slowly digests in the Lambic. The intense flavour of cherries and light nuances of almond from the pits determine the flavour of this fruity delicacy.

Note: ABV from 4.5% to 4% at some point.

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2011 Bottle at Brother Tuckers. Big cherry nose. What a fantastic surprise. Crisp and sweet with big cherry flavors. it’s the kinda beer you might only have one or two of because of the sweetness, but still rally good stuff. Can you say "PANTY DROPPER"?

Bierkrug (2129) - - JAN 6, 2011
250 ml bottle in Germany. Nice garnett ruby color with barely and a pink head. Big aroma of cheeries and bread dough.Follows through to the palate cherry sweet flavor with weak body feel. Seems to be some chemical ending in the palate as well. Not as good as some other Krieks. The original fruit beers.

ContemplateBeer (2089) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - DEC 4, 2010
Aroma of black cherries, oak and white sugar. Appearance is sanguine with off white head. Flavor of tart cherries, very sweet, not much oak. Palate is bubbly. Nice kriek, though a little sweet.

DeanF (2514) - Alberta, CANADA - NOV 17, 2010
Aroma of fake but fresh cherries. Has a heavy red/amber colour. Taste is a nice mix of gueuze and berries, well balanced. Wet finish. Quite good for a widely available kriek.

saxo (19273) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - OCT 24, 2010
Bottle from Ambrosetti, Berlin. Nice head with good duration. Color is ruby. Aroma and taste are rich cherries, citrus and syrop. Nice and refreshing, but a little artificial.

AndrewC (379) - Canterbury, Kent, ENGLAND - OCT 9, 2010
Fizzy cherry beer. Very drinkable in an alcopop kind of a way. Pleasant. Another treat from Harrisoni :)

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2012 250 ml bottle @ Oluthuone Rotterdam, Helsinki. Rated on 5.12.2009.
Red colour with a off-pink head. A sweet aroma which doesn’t have any sourness in it. Nicely soft taste with a sugar-sweet cherry addition. The palate is similar, which doesn’t get much points. Better than Lindemans Kriek in my opinion. 7-4-7-3-14 3.5

250 ml bottle. BBE 10/2013.
Pours a clear ruby colour with a small slightly reddish head. Aroma of very sweet and sugary cherries and wet wood. Flavour of sweet, sugary cherries, wood, some grapes and weak spices. Light bodied, slick mouthfeen and decent carbonation. Way too sweet and the sugar dominates here. 6-3-7-3-12 3.1

Gethinbeer (2452) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - AUG 23, 2010
Cherry colour, thin rose head and lace. Medium carbonation. Strong cherry aroma with a strong cherry flavour. Nice bitter finish.
