COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For 6 months the flesh of the fresh sour cherries slowly digests in the Lambic. The intense flavour of cherries and light nuances of almond from the pits determine the flavour of this fruity delicacy.

Note: ABV from 4.5% to 4% at some point.

Fizzy cherry beer. Very drinkable in an alcopop kind of a way. Pleasant. Another treat from Harrisoni :)

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2012 250 ml bottle @ Oluthuone Rotterdam, Helsinki. Rated on 5.12.2009.
Red colour with a off-pink head. A sweet aroma which doesnt have any sourness in it. Nicely soft taste with a sugar-sweet cherry addition. The palate is similar, which doesnt get much points. Better than Lindemans Kriek in my opinion. 7-4-7-3-14 3.5

250 ml bottle. BBE 10/2013.
Pours a clear ruby colour with a small slightly reddish head. Aroma of very sweet and sugary cherries and wet wood. Flavour of sweet, sugary cherries, wood, some grapes and weak spices. Light bodied, slick mouthfeen and decent carbonation. Way too sweet and the sugar dominates here. 6-3-7-3-12 3.1

Bottle. Dark red with a medium head. Very sweet with taste of cherries, somewhat artificial. Also some almonds, dry and not that much carbonation. Drinkable but it is sweet.

Yum, yum, yum. Cherry market basket aroma, pinkish amber color. Full of great cherry flavor. Competitive with kasteel rouge, with a thinner body.

Bottled 09-02-04. I enjoyed the balance of sour notes with cherries residing somewhere behind, but the taxing sweetness was definitely this brews hamartia.

Bottle 25 cl. Vieux Bruxelles Kriek Lambic 4,5%. Beer mahogany with flavor of cherry, kernel and almond, acetic button. Sweet and sour taste, jam, the lambic supports the acidity and brings the freshness. Fine carbonation and feel "frizzante" pleasant. Key acetic, almond and bitterness in more for a finale long and typical.

A: The pour is a clear ruby color with a frothy pink head on top. Some spotting lacing on the outside of the glass. S: A mild lactic acidity and some sour cherries, but thats about it in terms of the lambic character. Not much in the way of funk or oak. Still, the nose is invivting. T: A very sweet, cherry syrup like flavor. Maybe a touch of cola to go along with the overall sweetness. Just a hint of acidity on the finish. M: A light body with plenty of carbonation and a bit of a lingering sweetness. D: Normally Im not one for the sweetened lambics, but this one is actually pretty refreshing and easy to drink.
