For 6 months the flesh of the fresh sour cherries slowly digests in the Lambic. The intense flavour of cherries and light nuances of almond from the pits determine the flavour of this fruity delicacy.

Note: ABV from 4.5% to 4% at some point.

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2011 Bottle at Brother Tuckers. Big cherry nose. What a fantastic surprise. Crisp and sweet with big cherry flavors. it’s the kinda beer you might only have one or two of because of the sweetness, but still rally good stuff. Can you say "PANTY DROPPER"?

330ml. bottle in Vientiane, Laos. Pours a deep red with a minimal head. Cherry aroma quite pronounced, sweet. Strong cherry taste, sharp, sour, maybe a little too much. A decent cherry lambic but proportions of sweetness and cherry flavouring a little unsubtle.

colui72 (989) - HONG KONG - APR 20, 2017
Bright ruby with a medium pink head. Tart aroma, tastes of cherry syrup, quite artificial but enjoyable. Gently carbonated, light bodied, tart over any other tastes. Ok!

Dunkles rot im Glas, Kirscharoma, soweit alles wie versprochen. Im Trunk feine Säure, nicht krachig aber irgendwie etwas böckern. Dennoch ein schöner Ausgleich nach fettem Essen zum absacken.

21.12.2016 - Aroma of sweet cherries and lambic. Sweet taste, quite drinkable though I had better ones before. Something for hot summer days

Deep garnet coloured pour with a fast-fading pink head. The aroma is really bright and fruity. Lots of intense cherry notes with some rich leathery notes and a touch of almond. Lactic and juicy with a great fresh flavour. Has some bright peppery notes as well. Really refreshing and tasty.

Vom Hahn in der "Hohlen Birne" in Potsdam getrunken. Ist zwar ein Industrie-Kriek, aber gut trinkbar.

[9/27/16] Bottle on a street bench in Brussels. As Vieux Bruxelles Kriek Lambic. Clear red color. Aroma of candy-ish cherries, marzipan. Sweet flavor, quite sugary, slightly tart, with cherry candy. Too sweet, but OK.

bottle @ home, 3 years old. Pours a clear red liquid with a medium light pink head. Sweet cherries on the nose with a slight tart character, hints of leather and malt. Taste is sweet initially with a tart, light acidic, lemon like finish. Low body, medium to high carbonation. Flavors of cherries, almond, lemon. The cherries are tart in the finish. All right, with a nice finish, although quite one-dimensional.
