Can on a boat trip on Chobe river,Botswana,August 20,2012 Little to medium aroma.Light color.Watery lager. To little alcohol for a lager in my opinion.Tastes almost nothing, but can be used as a thirst quencher in the sun.

Many thanks to Nisse666 for this sample! Grainy sweetish nose. The beer starts neutral grainy, refreshing, a bit cardboard, grainy and not too peasant to drink. Grainy cardboard lager.

330ml Can: Pours a crystal clear straw with thin white head. Bready, yeasty aromas. Crisp and clean finish, somewhat sweet. Medium to low bitterness, medium to light bodied, medium carbonation. Overall an easy drinking summer beer.

Botswana has been a target country for a while and huge thanks to Bov for sending me this can. Country #163. Pours very pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of very light malt, grain and straw. Almost nothing to taste, just like some sort of sugar water with a very light plastic bitterness. Light body, thin texture, average carbonation. Wasn’t expecting much from a 3.5% African pale lager but this is pretty awful and it’s only stand out feature is it’s got my lowest rating ever.

A: Very pale straw with a medium-small white head N: A bit of freshness. Not much else T: Wow, this beer is insipid. Not much going on. I reckon I’m getting some carbolic acid from the bubbles, because there is a definite taste of soda water here. Multiple tastings reveal the unsurprising faint note of pale malt. No bitterness to speak of. P: Very thin O: Might just be the most tasteless beer I have ever ‘tasted’

The most pale lager I’ve seen in my life. Weak aroma and watery flavour. It says ’fine filtered’ on the can...I think they filtered half of the beer out. Terrible!

gift of a colleague and friend - many thanks! the palest yellow colour I’ve ever seen, almost no head at all; aroma of some grains, maybe herbal and cardboard notes; taste of sparkling water with some cardboard, metallic-sourish notes and hints of bread; among the worst lagers I’ve ever tried, but anyway, it is from Botswana - and this is the only reason it worth to try
