St. Louis Premium Framboise is a slightly sweet beer, perfectly balanced with the sourness of the mother beer, Lambic. 25% Willamette raspberries with seeds and natural sugars. A delicious thirst-quencher with low alcohol content, pleasing to young and old.

Ingredients: water, barley malt, unmalted wheat, rasberry juice (25%), elderberry juice, sugar, hops, flavors, sweeteners (steviol glycosides from stevia), antioxidant (ascorbic acid).

ElDesmadre's rating

   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 13/20

UPDATED: AUG 3, 2012 Second rating: Either they have lightened the sweetness or I’m having a day for sweets. Anyway, the sweet raspberry jam and fruit aroma is really nice, there is some tartness in both aroma and taste and there is even a light dryness in the finish. Nice one! 7/3/6/3/13 First rating: Bottle. Dark red with a surprisingly durable head. Aroma is tart raspberry with maybe some faint hints of apple. Good. The taste, however, is way too sweet, syrupy and cloying. It has a nice aroma that is dragged down by the sweetness. 6/3/4/2/8

Bottle. Raspberry, sour milk, malt, light vinegar, and musty hay aroma. Reddish brown with minimal head. Moderately sweet raspberry, malt, lightly sour vinegar/lactic acid, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Good body. Like the other sweetened fruit lambics.

Bottle. Pours clear red with thin light pink head. Aroma is raspberry syrup. Taste is sweet with raspberries, candy, hint of some lambic sourness.

Not bad, you can at least say it is refreshing on a hot, humid summer day. The stevia imparts an artificial aftertaste that is not exactly pleasing. Sweet and sour elements are there as expected. Definitely not a re-buy at relatively expensive price point.

Very nice lambic, effervescent raspberry aroma, and nice carbonation really brings out raspberry flavor without being saccharine.

02-07-17 // bottle. Pours a deep red beer with a small white head. Sweet rasperry juice, like rasperry candies from my childhood. Light lambic acidity.

Gift from Miguel. From Aldi. In Teku glass. After dinner. Not unpleasant, in fact nice. But doesnt seem a beer at all, more like a medicine for kids, like a new apiretal

750ml bottle. Pours clear reddish purple with a fizzy pinkish head. Not surprisingly the aromas and flavors are predominantly raspberry. This is somehow both a little sweet and a little tart, but only a small amount of sour funkiness. Light bodied and very drinkable, if somewhat one-dimensional.

250 ml Bottle. Pours with a clear red color and a nice, pastel-purple head. On the first impression, the nose is a little arificial, but the fruity notes getting better and better. Sweet raspberries dominating the nose. Some syrupy, something acidic. Taste of sweet raspberries as well (ok, that was to assume ;-)), nice sweet-sour balance. Refreshing.

VinegarStroke (445) - Napa, California, USA - FEB 24, 2017
Bottle: Bronze hue, clear, light head and a little lace. Huge fruity syrup lift. Clean. Slightly synthetic raspberry profile. The palate is sweet but the acidity makes it very refreshing. They are not wrong about it being quenching. I have a serious weakness for these lambics.
